Dear 343i,
My name is George, aka “Wolf of the Bay”, and I purchased Halo 4 and even picked it up at midnight on opening night. I was excited to play when I got back to my apartment. As per my usual, I started to play the campaign mode before I even touched the multiplayer. The prologue played perfectly, as did the first mission. But when the mission ended and the “Halo 4” logo appeared on the screen, I was greeted by a lovely little surprise. Disc is unreadable. So I cleaned it and installed both discs. This got me through to the second mission which I beat, but sure enough I got the same error as the mission ended again. I also get the error after maybe 1 in 5 multiplayer games before is shows me my earnings for that match. Same error “Disc is unreadable”. Sometimes when I join a game online, or when I try to load to the mission I am stuck at (Forerunner) it simply loads me right back to the main menu of the game. Other times ill load into a multiplayer game to only be removed from said game with the dash telling me everybody left. It then tries to find me a new game in which the same thing happens again. I have to restart my xbox to fix this particular error. To make a long story short, ive been through 3 brand new copies of the game, deleting the old data and installing fresh data from each disc every time, called xbox support multiple times, cleared my cache several times, got the latest system update from xbox twice, and have generally been through 4 days of sheer frustration. All of my other games work perfectly fine so dont tell me its a problem with my xbox. I have done my research and learned that I am not the only one with this issue. So, what im saying is there is something wrong with YOUR GAME. Please remedy this issue as soon as possible, because as of now you have quite a few very angry customers on your hands including myself. Is this isnt fixed before tuesday the 13th, dont expect me to pick this game back up for a very long time. Sincerely, George J. aka Wolf of the Bay
