Halo 4 disc problems

I have had the limited edition of Halo 4 since November, but a few weeks ago after playing a couple of games in matchmaking my disc decides it is unreadable. After a random number of games, it comes up with a message saying that the disc is unreadable, to clean it and then restart the xbox. If I do this the same thing happens again after a few more games.

However:

  • There are no scratches or marks on the disc
  • It only happens in matchmaking between the end of a game and the post-game report
  • I can tell when its going to happen because in the game before it comes up with the error message, all the spartans are pixelated and the announcer doesn’t speak.
  • I’ve downloaded the game onto my harddrive- isn’t this supposed to stop things like this happening?

Has anyone else had this problem, is there any way to fix it?

I would first try other games on your xbox. if your xbox is not the Case then your halo 4 disc probably has some deep layer damage and needs to be repaired. and if you would like to save the troubles overall I would just buy a new copy.

Pretty lame he’d have to buy a new copy. They should replace it for no charge.
