I can’t play some of the maps and I can’t play campaign at all,It just either leads me to the menu or says disc unreadable. I’ve tried exchanging the game but that didn’t work. I’ve tried using my USB to install Infinity to but no luck. I have one of those white xboxes and I’ve heard people with the slim console have been getting this problem too, all I wonder is,will this be fixed via update? I really want to play all of the new maps and campaign.
I’m having much the same problem. Halo disc 1 either tells me that the disc is unrecognised or unreadable. I could get the game to play after several attempts at trying to get the disc to read but even then, the game would often crash/stall during games and tell me the disc is unreadable again.
I’ve returned Halo 4 and had it replaced. Now the disc won’t even play! In both cases, disc 2 ran fine and I installed to the hard drive. My Xbox plays other games, old and new, without issue.
Can anyone offer some tips on how to fix this?
Is this a game bug or is something wrong with the discs?
I had a similar problem recently,It started when sometimes the disc would not read, and got pregressively worse. On occasion it would take me a frustrating half an hour or so before eventually the disc would be recognised and I could play.
My solution in the end was to replace the laser in the DVD player… now Halo disc1 fires up first time every time.
