so i wasn’t able to play my 360 untill reccently but this has been a problme for a much longer so i wanted to ask if anyone could help
my Halo 4 disc 1 doesn’t seem to work tho it could also be my 360 when ever i put the game in the system i can hear it booting up
but then my 360 starts making wierd scracthing noisies and then it just says “Open tray” on the main menu its only this game that it happens too and it can also read disc 2 just fine Halo 4 is the most reccent game i have and i’ved noticed my 360 seems to have issues playing newer games so it could be the console
i did install the game when it first came out since it gave me similar “Open tray” issues but one day it just didn’t work anymore
does anyone have any idea what could be cuasing this?
Could be some dust on the inside of it perhaps, you can try giving it a clean out carefully with a can of compressed air. Noises could indicate that maybe the drive is failing or that some of the mechanisms are worn / broken. Is your 360 standing up or laid out flat? If it’s standing, try laying it down and see if that helps. I’d also check your disc for scratches, you can get it repaired usually at a game shop. Xbox Support are probably your best point of contact after that, they’ll have proper troubleshooting steps they can run you through
