You know as Halo fans we want what we think is best for Halo. It is very clear that none of us know what is best for Halo. I for one believe the reason why Bungie is so forward with Destiny being for the PS4 and giving it exclusive content because well…Reach. That was their last Halo and alot of the Halo fans -Yoink- talked that game down so i’m sure they were hit hard by those comments.
There is one game that is basically Halo 4 and that is Transformers Fall of Cybertron. The MP that game has is basically Halo 4 with Equipment, more armor abilities and customization going even further. I think 343i if they want to keep classes into Halo they will have to take a look at that game. Many who have played it list it as one of the best MP’s they have ever played.
But than again it wasn’t 343i fault that Halo fans didn’t like Halo 4. IT was Halo fans. Alot of people here on the forums love to point fingers at everyone one else and don’t consider themselves besides that they feel they are right in almost any situation.
So how can a game like Halo 4 in almost every way have people playing and enjoying it. It has been out for some time and without the large amount of fans that Halo has it has little people still on but that matters little because those people who did play loved it and don’t really think twice about going back to play it with their friends. This was what i call a successful game, because those who played it love it and want more of it.
Even thought by MP standards it was short lived but those people playing the MP really do love it where it seems people here if they find one flaw they will stop playing Halo. People’s expectations are two high and it has gotten us a knife in our heart. For all i know 343i could be trying to make Halo fans angry at the series and MS just so that Bungie and the PS4 could do better. That sounds crazy but…everything is when you think about it.

Anyone would think that spite would be sparked from that, not to mention how the game made from the spirit of the fans was tarnished by the fans.I’m just saying, i would be a little upset if I were a Bungie employee. Devs love their games and when people talk -Yoink- about them it can be really hurtful. Especially when they made the game just for the fans and only the fans.
No, it was definitely 343i’s fault for making a less-than-great game in the first place by trying to shove in as many CoD features as possible. I know so many hardcore Halo fans who never come on these forums, and they dislike Halo 4 as much, if not more, than many people on here. Do you know why they stopped playing Halo 4 very quickly? Because it just isn’t fun. It’s not because they found one flaw with the game and then gave up. I mean, all these people, myself included, found flaws with Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo 3 and even Halo Reach, but continued to play them for years because they were great games.
Hell, I even gave Halo 4 a chance. I knew it was a broken game in many ways, but I found ways to enjoy it for several months. But after a while, it just stopped being fun anymore. Not because it isn’t a clone of past Halo games, but because it just isn’t very enjoyable.
> Sure, let’s blame the critics for being critical.
Not the critics just the fans. If a critic so happens to be a fan than…i guess so. Fans can make or break anything and breaking is what i think we have done over the past few years.

People don’t typically give bad reviews for something they enjoy. The trick is to make a game the fans do enjoy so they don’t become critics.

Imagine that you order a pizza, 30 minutes later i knock your door and give you the pizza that you wanted, you open the box and you see that there is a dead rat on your pizza, so you take the pizza and you put it into the dumpster. so tell me this, is it your fault for not liking the pizza or is it my fault for putting a dead rat on it?

A dead rat instead of a pizza is an objectively terrible thing; Halo 4 is not.
But OP I’ll be the first to say that this community has an overwhelming number of overly entitled whiny brats, but the numbers do not lie. Halo 4 has a lot of problems, but I believe 343i can improve upon them.
It isn’t entirely the community’s fault, not when it was made clear with Reach what we wanted and what we didn’t. Now it’s extra clear.
Also, come on now: you really think the community hurting Bungie’s feelings has anything to with them moving to PS4 as well as Xbox? That’s just ridiculous. They’re a business, a company, and they made a business move. That’s all it was.
They’re professionals, not children who get their feelings hurt that badly.

New post funny intro
To the Highlighted:
Tell me this me this, if you put your heart and soul into something and gave it to someone who you fell will love and enjoy as much if not more than you did and all they do is tell you how horrible it is…for a year, not to mention the person who was watching over you on your last few other projects keeps holding you back. If give the chance what would you do after 10 years of being held back and rushed.
Bungie knows how to bring in the money no doubt but after 10 years of dealing with a bossy boss and when you finally try to get something out which like your other projects was anchored down. When you get it to the one you want it to be too they hate it.
Reach was Bungies goodbye and many Halo fans took a dump on the game for minor reasons. Like Armor Lock.

Are you joking it was obviously 343’s fault that the majority of the fanbase didn’t like Halo 4. Hell, I’ve been playing Halo for 7+ yrs and I was absolutely disappointed MP wise because it felt like they didn’t even try to make the game skillful, and they also made it so noob friendly.
That makes no sense. Why, would 343I try to make us angry at Microsoft? Just so Bungie would do better even though Bungie is going to succeed with their game regardless. Your theory on 343i making Halo -Yoink- just so Bungie will succeed with their game makes no sense. It needs more explanation.
Finally, heres a BOO-HOO for 343I and also anyone who thinks we’re to hard on people who are responsible for a game that has brought people happiness for 10+ yrs can go and cry me a river.
I don’t think the devs are that petty, but if they were I could hardly blame them. Either way though, the people who state their negative opinions in a constructive manner don’t fail, just the "OMG 343 you suck u ruin Halo Yoink you!!!1!"ers.
Bungie had a contract to make two more Halo games for Microsoft, that was it. Those games were Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach. At this point, the big work force of Bungie had only concentrated on Halo. I read somewhere that Bungie was getting tired of Halo and wanted to do other stuff.
At some point they had done some small small work on a mech game called Phoenix, I believe and then I think they started with Destiny quite a while ago.
Either way. Bungie did not stop with Halo becuase the community talked Reach down seeing as another Halo would allready have been in production at the time Reach hit the stores. And they would not have dropped it. No, their contract ended and they wanted to do new things. Microsoft bought the Halo IP when the contract was fulfilled and continued.
So its our “fault” we didn’t like a game simply because it had Halo in the title? There are plenty of legitimate reasons to dislike Reach and Halo 4. Are some of them blown out of proportion? Sure, but that doesn’t change the fact there are still plenty of reasons why Reach and H4 got received the response they did.
I willing to give 343 a benefit of the doubt. I am quite sure 343 has heard all the complaints, now it comes down to whether they will do anything to address them(if they even can Looks at MS).
I will take your word that Transformers is a great game. However that does not make it a good “Halo” game. Sure you can throw a Halo skin over a certain genre, it may even be a legitimately good game in its own right. A good game in the Halo universe is not the same thing as a good “Halo” game set in the Halo universe. That is not to say there isn’t room for more than one type of Halo game. One game cannot be all things to all people(as much as publishers wish it could be).
Halo 4 has an audience for a particular group of people. The issue is that that audience doesn’t appear to include many fans of the original formula. They came looking for a specific thing, they didn’t find it, they left. Its not their “fault” Halo 4 was not a game they enjoy playing.
There is nothing wrong with people enjoying Halo 4. There is also nothing wrong with people disliking Halo 4.
I guess I don’t really understand what you are trying to say. “Some people love Halo 4, so people who don’t must just be really hard to please?”

Then they are in the wrong business. If a developer cannot handle criticism, they are doomed to fail.

343i can/are handling it, you make a good point Cobra and this is one reason I have faith in them still
if i do recall reach was made as part of the deal for them to split with microsoft, they were required to make one more halo game and help them pass the torch to 343 before officially moving on. so i dont believe people hating on reach, which might just be my favorite halo and yes i’ve played them all, is why they split from microsoft. i’ll also be the first to admit majority of gamers arent plesant to put it nicely an hour on xbox live, forums, or any video game website with comments show that. but i wouldnt put halo 4’s failure on the fans that game played very differntly from past halos and thats why many people, myself included, didnt care for it. it had a few good things to build off of in my opinion like the story and dominion but it was clear they targeted non-halo players for this game and thats why halo 4 fell short.
