I been reading alot of how people think the Didact is the enemy in Halo 4. My answer would be that’s correct. In Cryptum we get a glimpse of why he hates Humans and how he treats Chakas and his friend which are humans. In the human-forerunner war, humans killed alot of his friends a d the Didact despises them for that. The Librarian is the one who convinces the Didact to trust in humans but now that she is dead because of humans, he wants revenge. So well know for sure what his plan is when the new Forerunner book comes out on Jan 3rd.
At the end of Cryptum Bornsteller is with the Librarian. Still alive. Humans did not kill her.
Yeah but that takes place 1000000 years ago. In the present, 343 guilty spark explains that she is gone in the Halo CEA terminals
She was not killed by humans. She lived out her final days on the ark. you are still wrong.
She wasnt killed by them but she sacrificed her life to protect humans. Regardless she is gone
where does it say she sacrificed herself for them?
And you just ruined your own argument. you originally said the humans killed her.
Argument? Idk what argument your implying about but ok. I might have mixed the words around but that’s it. I don’t think your understanding the point that she is gone! Im not sure if I read it in glass lands but I know i seen that somewhere. Look it up. Everyone is talking about it.
> where does it say she sacrificed herself for them?
>
> And you just ruined your own argument. you originally said the humans killed her.
I’m pretty sure that he means because the Librarian had to sacrifice her life to save those humans, he would be pretty upset and thus blame the humans for having her resort to that decision.
In any case, I don’t think the Didact will be the main enemy of this game or at least, I think he could come around to MC side after sending stuff after him, seeing as though their might be a very great threat and Didact would probably wish go after said greater threat instead of wasting time waging war on humanity.
This is all assuming that Didact is even alive and in the game 100,000 years later.
I guess the Halo Historian has to get in here. Your facts are messed up.

The Forerunner-Flood War occured 100,000 years before Halo: CE. Putting the year of the Halo Array’s activation at 97,448 B.C.E.
-
The Librarian died on Earth when the Halo Array was activated. Humans did not kill her and she did not sacrifice herself for them. She destroyed all her ships, and hid the last remaining portal to the Ark which was on Earth. She spent her final hours near Mt. Kilimanjaro. The Didact(Bornstellar at this point) was either A) On the Ark. Or B) Heading to a Shield World. Or C) He died during the Activation of the Halo Array. This last theory may be false due to the Monitor speaking of him as if he were alive and well. Meaning most likely that he was either on the Ark which was well outside the Halo Array’s range, or a Shield World(Quite possibly the one seen in the Halo 3 Legendary Ending and the Halo Announcent Trailer).
However, while evidence may point to The Didact being the enemy of Halo 4, another possibility is tha antagonist of Primordium, The Timeless One, who is a Precursor.
The phrase Ancient Enemy can be applied to a number of things. The Precursors were an Ancient Enemy of the Forerunners. However, the Forerunners also used this term to describe Humanity and The Flood at this point in time as well. The Forerunners could also be the Ancient Enemy of Humanity. So at this time, the enemies of Halo 4 are unclear. There is no one choice and all choices have an equal amount of evidence to support them. Also note that only the death of the original Didact is clear. It is not known if Bornstellar, now the Didact, is still alive or not.
And before anyone suggests that the Didact would be mad at Humanity for destroying 2 Halo rings and The Ark itself, note that the Didact opposed the construction and use of the Halo Array. Meaning he would most likely be grateful for its destruction. However, this particular bit of information also contradicts itself because it was the Didact himself who activated the Array, which he despised.

Dude, I don’t know, tho he does Hate them, he does respect them for fighting so hard, and for staying in a fight for so long, as they fought a two front war. The Forerunners was Fighting the Humans, but the Humans was fighting not only the Forerunners, but also the Flood. I can see the the Didact more of a fellow soldier, not an enemy, kind of like the Arbiter and the Chief in Halo 2 at the end, they wasn’t best buds, but they wasn’t really trying to kill each other because they had better things to do.

Basically this.
You got one thing wrong, though. It has never been said or hinted that the Legendary Planet is a Shield World.

you would think it would be kind of obvious though. I nean there’s a giant opening in the planet that IS opening up as the Forward Unto Dawn approaches. Last time I checked, only Shield worlds had these openings. Though each is different. The Onyx Shield World, The Sharpened Shield, was inside of Slipspace. the Halo Wars Shield World, Shield 0459, looked like a planet on the outside, but when the Spirit of Fire got close enough and Serina hacked into some computer systems, an opening appeared on the sea floor and opened up, revealing the entrance into the Shield World. Both have different appearances, but both are Shield Worlds. See what ii’m getting at here? Though it is still possible that the opening is a landing area, or a giant laser the size of the Death Star. We won’t truthfully know until 343 makes a statement.

I am fully aware of what SWs are, and I do believe that the LP is a hollow planet, but how would SWs progress Halo’s story line in a fun and mysterious way if they have been explored in a whole game and a whole book (two, actually). Maybe the whole mystery in the game will be about what hides within the so called SW? I just don’t see it…
I also used to have a canonical explanation where there would be no purpose for a SW outside the range of the Galaxy considering the Halo does not effect those regions but then I came back to my senses and realized that is exactly why it could be a shield world. Because it lays beyond the Halos’ blast radius.
Maybe you’re right, but I’m just not seeing it, you know?

I see where your coming from, and i’m not yelling or anything. I agree with you as well. It could be anything. In all honesty, I think Halo 4 is going to harken back to the days of Halo 1 where there was just this sense of mystery and exploration. Sure a Shield World has been explored before. But that was in a book where there is no visual and a RTS game. But you gotta think, how would this be from a first person perspective, ya know? It makes plausible sense when you think about it. Its one of those things that could be a number of different things, so we’ll have to wait and see. Waybe we’ll get more info or a trailer next month that will answer alot of questions.
Actually, the Didact at the end of Cryptum(Bornstellar) does not hate humans, and neither did the Promethean before him (The original Didadct)and that Didact was executed on the san shyuum world Janjur Qom by the Master Builder for not telling him what he wanted to know about the still living precursor or Mendicant Bias
Yup, looks like ProFit did the job disproving this mess of a theory.
> She was not killed by humans. She lived out her final days on the ark. you are still wrong.
Mt. Kilimanjaro, not the ark. She spent her final days watching over the portal in Voi.
> She was not killed by humans. She lived out her final days on the ark. you are still wrong.
She stayed on Earth, not the Ark. She just referred to Earth as Eden.
> You got one thing wrong, though. It has never been said or hinted that the Legendary Planet is a Shield World.
It has most definitely been hinted to be a Shield World. That concept art trailer at Halo Fest shows several shots of the world ‘curving’ upwards as if it’s inside a sphere, plus the safest place the Forerunners could go after they left the Orion Arm would be a Shield World where they could be locked away and forgotten.
> She was not killed by humans. She lived out her final days on the ark. you are still wrong.
Actually the Librarian after relocating the human population to the ark for reseeding, refused to come with the Didact to abandon the halo Plan, and destroyed her own fleet so she couldnt leave. She spent the last of her days on earth a place she called “eden”. So even though technically he is right, I still don’t think this would be a reason for the Didact to be an enemy
