These are the improvements I think Halo 4 did good that was a step forward as well as it’s mistakes.
I took time coming up with this list. Tell me what you think if my opinions coming since I’m a huge fan.
1 Sprint was given to every player, makes moving through large maps less tedious
2. More selection of Automatic classes and precision loadouts.
3. Better Customizable Loadouts options.
4. Join in Progress when population is low at off times.
5. Ordinance did work is SOME ways…
6. Community Playlist Maps (Addicting and my favorite)
7. Join In Progress Prevents losing/winning if everyone quits and garantees somewhat of balanced teams.
8. Playlist Rotation After Jan.
9. Ranking up did provide minor gameplay changes by the specialization perks.
10. Boltshot and pulse grenade is a great addition for defensive players.
11. Some of the new weapons are awesome.
12. Adding new maps that have an original feel to them like Settler.
13. The variety of gametype choices some of these playlist provide during pre game votes.
14. Last but not least, no more damn Armor Lock.
15. Brought back the satisfying gameplay I had back when Halo 3 was king, unlike Halo Reach
Bad additions that should have not have came with Halo 4.
Instant respawn = Less chance of extermination medals.
Some of the weapons have been nerfed ex. BR and Carbine.
Favorite weapons have been removed, like Plasma Rifle, Grenade Launcher, Flamethrower.
The embarrasing number of playlists at launch.
No REAL ranking or hardcore playlist for the hardcore Halo pros.
The “Pro” gametypes don’t allow Assault weapons. What the heck right?
No real FFA playlist till April.
No viewable Ranks when getting matched up.
Banshee is very very very weak and a Coffin.
Too easy to max out leveling up.
Infection playlist is a joke and no one likes it
the Bare bone options custom games gives you.
Lack of firefight for a stupid half season of Spartan ops.
Ideas that should have been borrowed from Reach.
It’s excellent Custom game options.
The support the file share downloads got.
How easy it was to join and find fun Custom Games.
It’s excellent sandbox feel to it when playing matchmaking.
All of it’s casual playlist should have moved to Halo 4. No more rocket race
The excellent leveling up system gave you some awesome armor and you could by loads and load of armor such as the vanity armor versus the "ugly’ options Halo 4 armor has.
Firefight.
More variety in playlist games such at Swat magnums, DMRS, BR Slayer, etc.
Invasion
Halo 3 ideas that should have been use.
Bring the Veto System back from Halo 3. this will provide good map rotation.
The uniqueness of the Maps to make every map feel good instead of the ugly rocks in Halo 4.
3.Playable Elites in matchmaking.
> 1 Sprint was given to every player, makes moving through large maps less tedious
That is easily one the worst things.
Especially since it allows for the camo sniping -Yoinks!- to run away…in Reach you could effectively close the gap because you had a significant advantage.
Sprint is bad in Halo either way, but it’s the worst in H4 because it’s useable with other AA.
I liked sprint in Reach, it was limited and made you choose weither or not you had another ability. This ment you could rush quickly as a team or use other AA’s to support each other. It also made since for the spartan III’s to have AA’s because they were the “experimental” Spartans while Spartan II’s were the real super soldiers.
Halo 3 felt sluggish to me. I played big team slayer the other day with my friend (one of those HUGE Halo 3 guys like most of you). Within minutes everyone except me and my friend and 2 guys on the other team quit. We couldn’t leave the base because one guy was camping in the middle with a sniper rifle and the other had a banshie. As soon as he killed the camper and I killed the banshie, they quit too.
So if that’s the kind of people that play Halo 3, why would I want to go back? Now we play Reach because people don’t quit if they start lossing.
A lot of those are not objective improvements, though. You also seem to forget that Halo 4 took many features away from the player. For example, where is campaign scoring? Spartan Ops scoring?

I stopped reading after that first point and realized “improvement” has become an opinion.
The thing I think they should of brought back, without question, is Elites, the whole point of halo is UNSC v Covenant (and now Forerunners) and they haven’t even brought back Elites to play as in Multiplayer, I preferred it in Halo 3 when you had the choice of choosing whether you wanted to be Elite or Spartan in matchmaking, no matter what game type you were playing. It’s now extremely annoying for machinima makers as well because there’s no elites for them to play as in their machinima, This is my only problem with Halo 4, I love everything else, oh apart from the magnets in forge, they don’t work that well, I preferred it in Reach when you could push the analogue stick down, and it went very slowly, But other than that, great job 343.

The things i highlighted were not good changes at all or were not true at all.
> Everyone has different opinions of what works at Halo 4
The don’t call them improvements if they can’t be objectively proven. Like, how can anyone objectively prove that 15 on your list of “good” things? I’m all for people having opinions and such, but please defend them.
> I said this was my list I think were improvements, I didn’t say I wanted to argue, I wanted to know what people think.
So you want to know what people think and yet when they provide disagreement…you say it is just your opinion. So what exactly are we supposed to talk about?

Green being good, orange being flawed, and red being LOL OH MY GOD NO,JUST NO YOU CAN’T POSSIBLY BE SERIOUS RIGHT NOW.

Lol,wit? You were on the armor lock bandwagon OP? It was amazing! It made the game more tactical, and you needed more teamwork. You could hold down a button and be invincincibe. And survive like rocket shots.and best people. IT WAS FINE. Are you just trying to force your play style on the people that enjoyed it OP? That and the sentinel beam are the only things missing in this game. And custom game options, btw. And theater in campaign. And other stuff but it isn’t that important because the game is so fun

I clearly said that I hated the Armor Lock with every ounce of blood in my heart. Again, your Satirical commentary is poorly written.
