"omgggggg i wantz mastur cheefs armur so0o0o0o badlyyy!" "omgggggg i wantz to flyz teh pelicanz!" "omgggggg i wantz to playz az teh floodz in teh infectionz soooo badlyyyy!"
Halo 4 granted all of those wishes. And because of that, those priceless things like desiring the glorious olive green Mark VI armor worn by the Chief and the Chief only, wanting to fly the Pelicans(Which should have always been restricted from the player), and the mysterious Flood are devalued.
They’re not as special as they once were now. Those little things should have remained in our minds as mythical items and abilities. Now the Chief’s armor is accessible to anyone who beats the game on Legendary(Which isn’t too hard), you can fly the Pelican in a mediocre at best sequence in the Campaign that suspiciously echoes Reach’s ‘New Alexandria’ mission, and the Flood is now playable in Flood mode, the inferior follow-up to Infection mode which is now just a distant memory, courtesy of Halo 4’s lacking custom options.
Why do you have to listen to the fans, 343 Industries? And when you do listen, why do you listen to the crappiest suggestions? The special things about Halo are now beginning to slowly vanish.
There are some members of the community with genuinely good ideas and logical suggestions that are simply put aside in favor of such pointless and meaningless features.
Mark VI armor was the only armor in H2, default armor in H3 and unlock able in HR and H4. Now please tell me how one desired, but never received Master Chief’s armor.

The exact color scheme has never been available until now.

With that logic it still isn’t. The multiplayer Mark VI and Master Chief’s color are still two different things.

The Infection is the only thing that disappointing me. We don’t even look like floods. And they make noises that aren’t exactly floodish. They make gargling sounds instead of those awesome screeches they used to make.

That looks nothing like Master Chief, his armor has much more detail and not to mention it has a darker olive color as well as a black under armor. And as far as I’m know master chief doesn’t have a 117 emblem. This is probably the dumbest point to complain about.

The color’s still different. Campaign Master Chief has always had a shade that cannot be found in the armor customization. It’s either that you have been able to have it in every Halo game, or that you haven’t. Choose between those, there is no middle ground.
As for the rest, you could already fly the Pelican in Reach, so that point goes there. Playing as Flood is the only thing we haven’t been able to do before that we can do now. In the end, personally, none of those matters. I am only happy I got to fly the Pelican, the default Mjolnir armor has never been something special to me (it’s what you started with in every game from Halo CE to 3). Playing as a Flood is something I consider a cool feature, but I don’t think 343i did optimal job with it.
Sure, I understand the point of this thread, even agree with it. Unfortunately you covered a very viable point with something so sentimental that hardly anyone really cares about it, and at the same time misses the point that is in the very last paragraph of the OP.
Mark VI looks ugly in H4, as does Master Cheif’s Helmet;
The visor is too long, and (consequently?) the top looks like a bowl-cut from certain angles. But that’s just my opinion; I feel that if one pixel is off, it changes the whole “personality” of the helmet.
Halo: Reach’s was the smexiest because the protruding fork at the top was black.

well you are wrong the mp armor is the mark VI “classic” which is in Halos 2,3, and Reach. the armor in campaign is the exclusive set to the campaign for John and only for him
