From all the threads i am seeing so far a heavy percentage of this Halo community will have TONS of negative things to say about halo 4 during the day 1 release, how do i know this well we have very little info on anything yet everyone is writing this game off as “Halo Reach 2.0” but the point of this thread is do you think Halo 4 will have a lot of day 1 negative backlash from the community or do you think it will be positive?
Oh it will, especially in the glitch and bug department.
I assume the majority of the community, including me, will be willing to give the game 1 month of opinion-free gameplay (unless there are some major, major issues like Bubble-Shield in oddball).
> Oh it will, especially in the glitch and bug department.
that depends where they are at because as far as i know most of the Halo community likes bugs and glitches in campaign such as being able to drive the AA wraith in halo 3 or getting outside of the maps but if it’s online then it’s a different story.
Whoa dude, it’s too early for this kind of thing! We only heard a little news from the 343i, and unfortunatly, not enough for this poll. Despite this poll coming out early, I would say both negative and positive. People complain and praise just about every game that come out.

Bugs and glitches that BREAK the game. If you can get out of multiplayer maps in multiplayer matchmaking games and get an unfair advantage, that is bad.
What kind of question is that, it depends on how 343 does. and what are you even asking on your poll
Yea i see what you mean but has there ever been a glitch like where you can get out of a map online? i don’t know about glitches so excuse me if it’s a dumb question.

They’re having an internal beta, which is better than a Public Beta. Gets rid of more glitches in the system. I was pretty positive with Reach in the first month, i’ll be the same with Halo 4
Sorry the poll was not clear enough From what you see on the threads so far how do you think the community will feel as a WHOLE?

History doesn’t really support this. Modern Warfare 2 did this and that game was TERRIBLE at launch. Overpowered shotguns, the Javelin glitch, broken perks, and so much more. Also, public betas are great ways to stress test a developers servers and what not to make sure the game can handle the millions of people who will flood the game at launch and beyond.
Of course there will be. Theres day 1 backlash for every major sequel in every game series. Personally, I’ll be giving myself 1-2 weeks to play the game and form an opinion on it.
No, it’s not whole. We have different Halo fans, but with a common interest, that is to play Halo. I wouldn’t worry too much about the community in the long run, because somewhere in the between in the term of sayings, the community will get along.
EDIT: Seems the server went crazy here.

If there are armour abilities I’ll rage immediately but still give them a chance. If they’re anything like Reach’s game-breakers, then I’ll be furious I waited so long (from 2007) for my favourite series to be restored to glory, only for it to be ruined once more.
It’s pretty damn obvious the community doesn’t want anything like Reach again, just look at the popularity of Halo before Reach. Only an absolute idiot would make that mistake again.

Not saying that I agree with a internal beta, but I think they’re using Microsoft employees from all over the world, so it should be quite a lot better then MW2s launch.

Yea the community is very rude when it comes to changes and think they know how to make the best Halo game.

I would imagine IW and Activision would’ve done the same thing, maybe more since it’s multiplatform.

Yeah, you have the original post. I did not mean to separate the Halo fans into groups. I decided to edit my comment, so yeah to clear up everything.
