Halo 4 Daily Peak Population

This is not looking very good for Halo 4. Just 1 month after the release date of Halo 4 there was a 70% decrease in population.
WoW…OMG and WTF!!!
How can such a successful gaming franchise have numbers like this? If these were stock figures this company would be done. It’s a good “thing” so many copies of Halo 4 were sold and even better Microsoft owns 343i.

Happy Holidays,

Ok and? No one cares about population as long as you can find a game in every playlist.

> Ok and? No one cares about population as long as you can find a game in every playlist.

well thats not true, apparently its everyones favorite go to when saying halo 4 is failing.

There is no incentive to keep playing matchmaking, the forge is far worse than Reach’s forge, the campaign has zero replay value, and the spartan ops are extremely repetitive. Why would anyone keep playing?

When there are no 1-50 ranks, there is no reason to go hard at halo.

Population numbers don’t matter, and I wish they’d stop posting it on Waypoint and in the game. If people didn’t know the numbers, nobody would know any different, because there is still virtually a zero wait time to find a game in any playlist.

When Reach was below 20,000, I would still always find games within 30 seconds in any playlist, which is all I care about. How many others are playing doesn’t make a difference to me so long as I can find a game in the playlist I want to play!

Now make a thread of daily population LOWS…

> Ok and? No one cares about population as long as you can find a game in every playlist.

Everyone should care. It’ll have a pretty big effect on the game overall.

But no, it doesn’t. It doesn’t affect wait times unless it’s below like 100 players. Reach was constantly below 25,000 online at any given time and I still never had to wait to find a game in any playlist.

They should never have made population numbers public, because nobody would know any different as to whether there was 5 million or 20,000 players online, because you can always still find a game quickly.

You should look at the pop stats of Ghost Recon Future Soldier, that game was a real fail hard.

That’s a shame actually, the game had a true potential.

How can anyone say population numbers do not matter? Hellooo…A 70% decline in a games gaming population 1 month after the release date is a pretty serious matter. Especially, when such a gaming franchise was a contributing factor for the creation of MLG. This is just 1 month after the release of Halo 4 and as a fan of the Halo franchise I am worried. I LOVE HALO…I have LOVED HALO for many years now and these numbers are quite worrying.

Trust me, I did not take the time to post dates, population and calculate percentages because I dislike Halo. If the population keeps dwindling the future for Halo does not look well. Of course, there will be another Halo because of the sales numbers, but if 343i keeps putting out games with terrible gaming populations the end of Halo will come sooner rather than later.

Fuzzy Bunny Slippers,
-Ballz-

Someone tell me why they did not include good connection setting from the start along with theater for spops and campaign. And why did they not include commendations for the campaign like reach had.

And H4 forge is pretty terrible I miss forge world from reach. Im not being a reach fanboy but it was definitely better overall forge wise. Also add infection back and community playlist.

There will always be enough of a core fans online playing so that anybody can hop online at any given time and find a game to play in any playlist. Like I said before, even in Reach when the total population was 20,000 or less every day, there was never any issue finding a game instantly in any playlist.

Again, if they didn’t post the population, nobody would know any different.

good thing the population is at that… so 343i can stop getting money for the worthless piece of -Yoink!- they call Halo and hopefully learn from their mistakes and fix the dang game.

AHal,
One of the reasons why Halo has done so well in the past is because of the popularity it has received on professional gaming circuits. Halo’s online multiplayer matchmaking has been the source for Halo’s ongoing success over the years and not the campaign. If the gaming circuits drop Halo or take it out of the live events then Halo stands a good chance of being gone for quite sometime. This is a sad possibility for all fans of Halo…Halo’s fan base should be quite concerned about this.

Hiding numbers does not achieve anything…The numbers are posted and they’re public.

All I’m saying is I play the game for fun, as I always have in Halo, and as long as I can always hop on and get in to a game that I want to play without a long wait, I’m happy. And there will always be enough online to support that, so I don’t see any concern personally. That’s all.

I hope this game takes a worse -BLAM- -BLAM- dump than Reach.

And hopefully sales plummet for Halo 5.

Teach these clueless muther -BLAMS- to listen to the games long-time player base.

I’m already playin 3 until they fix this crap.

Lookin forward to H2 anniversary, but im sure they’ll manage to blow that, at which point ill probably just cancel my live subscription.

I can’t beleive how much of a MP flop Reach was for the Halo series, and then 343 copied practically everything form that game… beyond idiotic

Ranking System is horrible and boring. This SR-(#) thing is so boring looking and bland, the least they could of done was put back the emblems of ranks like how Reach had it.

Maps are horrible.

Instant Respawn & Sprint are horrible.

AA’s still horrible.

Theater is horrible.

Forge is a downgrade from Reach.

File Sharing System doesn’t even work properly.

Custom Game options are lacking (another downgrade)

(Opionion) - Spartan Ops might be the most boring thing I’ve ever played.

Ordinance System is stupid.

Did I forget to mention the Maps are horrible, and they’re all built around sprint.

Solid Copy there!

Man I could go on and on for -BLAM- two god -BLAM- hours about everything I don’t like about this game.

Better than Reach though! haha

Good. Halo is losing and declining in popularity. It’s funny, the game that is apparently ‘better’ and ‘less milked’ than CoD starts declining first and faster than CoD.

343 messed up big time, instead of making the Halo 3 like game every true Halo fan wanted, they decided to make a CoD Clone no one wants. Now the casuals abandon Halo for the CoD, and the hardcore fans abandon Halo for not being Halo.

I hope Halo 5 bombs and 343 are fired.
