Halo 4 CSR... R.I.P. Halo

I feel as if 343i has totally given up on their own product. They keep giving us half–Yoinked!- updates that seem to annoy and disappoint the community more than strengthen it. The CSR is a complete joke not to mention a slap in the face to everyone. Not only did they let everyone down by making every playlist CSR based but the leveling system doesn’t even make sense. I played three games of BTB and got to a 16 then I played 2 hours of Castle DLC and got to a 5. I know that they have different leveling systems, (one is team win/loss and the other is individual scoring) but they need some sort of middle ground. For example, I played a game of regular Infinity and went 11-10 and went from a level 1 to a 12. The next match I went 16-4 and went down… that makes no sense, and both games were wins even though that doesn’t matter in said playlist. Next, I noticed that in the game types with individual score, enemy teams quitting early will damper your rank as well. If the enemy team all quits out and the game ends early then your score will be lower than it would be if the match was fully played. Before CSR that was fine because that counted as a quick win and no one actually minded it, but now your rank will go down in that playlist of individual score. I played a match of Infinity where the entire enemy team quit out within two minutes of the match starting so our whole team had low individual score for that specific match and we all lowered in rank because of the enemy team’s lack of skill. With all of this in mind how are people suppose to level when you know there will always be people out there who have to exploit every little flaw to get ahead. I guess 343i is fine with losing people to other games on a daily basis. Would it have been so hard to give us a few actual playlists for rank and true skill. With the bringing about of this new system also comes all of the “try-hards” with no skill. Almost every game I played yesterday there were people using promethean vision and boltshot camping or jetpack with an automatic weapon. In my opinion this is the exact opposite of skill or there for the lack of. I just feel that 343i has made this game to market it to little kids because they knew the competitive and/or loyal fans would purchase this game. They made this game extremely “noob” friendly and that right there makes me lose almost all of the little respect I had left for the game after Reach. Halo used to be about your own personal skill and what you can do with it, let me explain. Everyone started off with the exact same weapons and grenades and had to use their own skill to out play the enemy to take the power weapons and map control and keep them. Now what do we have? Unneeded abilities, people starting with a boltshot aka the modified mauler so they can camp, and the kamikaze player who rushes in and throws plasma grenades. All of these used to be map pickups to keep the matches more even, now the match is just based on who can play like a bigger “noob” wins.

Here you go…

sigh thanks VS Beejer

Your rank goes up and down based on the players you are playing against. It also doesn’t help that CSR will be all out of funk for a couple weeks until people start settling into the ranks they are mean’t to be at. Winning against terrible CSR and not doing really awesome is going to result in a rank drop. Either way it will all work itself out the longer CSR is out. To put it in simple terms… You’re overreacting, calm down and wait for CSR to start truly working. It’s been whack like this in both H2 and H3 in the first couple days-weeks. You shouldn’t act like this is a Halo 4 exclusive issue.

EDIT: You should thank VS Beejer because if it wasn’t for him nobody would have read your post.

Now I can actually read it.
