So starting off, It’s been since CSR first came out that I last played matchmaking, so maybe this got ironed out, but here’s my question/issue.
I play SWAT so should theoretically be individual based CSR, yet no matter where I finish in points, unless I’m on the winning team, I can’t get higher than 5th position.
I find that this then affects my CSR. My CSR does not go up if my team loses, regardless of how I do individually (I normally end up 1st to 3rd in points over all 8 players, but due to playing with a mate who isn’t so great, end up ranking 5th, and my CSR does not go up).
Any help will be greatly appreciated, it’s been something that has really annoyed me, as the way I took it was, even if I was on the losing team, If I had the highest points over all 8 players, I would be ranked 1st and CSR moved accordingly, not ranked 5th.
It shouldn’t affect your CSR, because 343 said that in Infinity Slayer and some other playlists you would get ranked individually and by win/loss. It might affect your CSR a little if you lose and get 1st/5th, but it shouldn’t do too much.

This is by design. If your team loses (even if you have the highest Personal Score in the match) you can’t place higher than the 5th. It would look a bit weird if your team lost but you still managed to place first.
There is a clear distinction between your team standing and your CSR standing. What you are looking at throughout your Waypoint stats is your team standing (which isn’t really used for anything). What you want to be looking at is the CSR standing.
Unfortunately CSR standing doesn’t exist in the Waypoints statistics.
