Lately I’ve been seeing a lot about our upcoming digital foes in which we will fight courageously. Speculation has been a foot about these enemies, and one thing i want to clear up, is the speculations with how these Covies are and why they are attacking Chief. All of my info is backed by Glasslands.
The Servants of Abiding Truth are a religious faction within Glasslands story that are devoted to the Forerunners. When confronted by Jul Mdama with a plot to kill Thel Vadaam, The Arbiter, The SAT(servants of abiding truth) stole docked covenant vessels from a shipyard on Sanghelios. From this point speculation and theory begins. I believe after this, they sent ships to other planets to gather the races of the covenant. once they succeeded in doing so they set out to find a “base” this is where they jump to a random coordinates, and come in contact with The Dawn.
This explanation goes along with cortanas inference that these covenant aren’t outfitted like a full military and seem to be pirates.
What do you guys think?
Well, in contrast to that theory, Frankie emphasized in Halo A-Z that some Covenant might have gotten lost, and did not get the message that the war was over.

this was something else i thought but it just didnt seem possible to me
I can’t really throw much into the pot in terms here as I haven’t fully soaked in all the information from the books, but I’d say from the Vague information I do have that this a relatively good guess…

Huh, I seem to have missed that one…again, interesting to know, it’ll be nice to actually know why we’re fighting the Covenant again, not the I’d need the excuse, can’t really say I’m all too partial to siding with the blind, genocidal freaks we’ve been fighting for so long…
…Not that the UNSC are bloody saints…
Yeah I’m sure communications would mean all covenant would know, my guess is that they’re pirates who disagree with the truce with the humans
They may have found Cortana’s distress signal while looking for a base?
The servants want nothing to do with humanity. They have already signed a peace treaty which was commissioned before the cease fire became official. Unless 343 come up with some super-picnic it ain’t the servants.
I think they are a rouge faction of Covenant fanatics that want to continue the war (sort of like the Servants of Abiding Truth from Glasslands).
If you recall, Sanghelios was being attacked by an unknown force, the Servants and their cause may be halted or destroyed all together. Not only that, but it sure doesn’t seem like they would be able to recruit any of the other races to attack the humans again, Grunts, Jackals and even some Brutes seem pretty content with just letting things go as evident by their presence on a HUMAN insurrectionist controlled world. I also don’t buy the whole “random coordinates” explanation as to them finding Requiem and Chief.
