I will probably use Recon (I think that was what it was called) Layout. I like using the B button as melee
The default looks fine by me. If I have any trouble, I’ll just switch to Recon.
There may be other options, but so far I don’t like any of these. I wish they would add a customizable button layout. I don’t like sprint on the right stick, B, or A button. I’d want sprint on LB and my AA on RB. Switch grenades can stay on the D-pad. Everything else would be similar to Halo 2’s default layout.
I hope they have a control scheme like this:
Left Thumbstick - Move (click to crouch)
Right Thumbstick - Look (click to aim)
A - Jump
B - Melee
X - Reload/ Action
Y - Switch Weapons
RT - Fire
LT - Throw Grenades
RB - Sprint
LB - Armor Ability
D-Pad - Change grenade type
That seems like the most obvious and intuitive control scheme to me, and I will be surprised if 343 does not add it in. I prefer melee to be on B to avoid accidental assassinations. Crouch should still be on a thumbstick, forcing players to sacrifice aiming or moving to crouch seems bizarre.
I sure hope that is a typo on Bumper Jumper. The grenade should be the left trigger. No reason for it not to be.

On topic - Bumper Jumper is X to throw grenades? Hmmm interesting. Why couldn’t they make sprint and your other AA switchable by using the D-pad?
I think I’ll be using Green Thumb, or the default controls.
I think I’ll choose bumper jumper. I can deal with X being grenade button as controlling AAs, melee, jump and shooting is more important. Also if sprint works like in Reach then it’s okay.
YES! 343 realized “X” was a stupid button map for AA’s in reach!
My Bumper Jumper layout is awesome. 
Having Grenade on X will take some time to get used to, with the swap I can at least use every AA effectively now(Jet pack made me sad in Reach…).
Sprint on A is okay, I shouldn’t have to turn while Sprinting.
Recon seems pretty much perfect for me. one thing though, if they could switch aa and sprint simply because i will probably use sprint more simply to get into battle and i think using the x will be pre good with thruster pack and most aas (maybe not PV but im not gonna use it much anyways) good work 343!
itll be nice if they let u customize your controlls the way u like. such as setting certain buttons to what u want it to be instead of loadouts. like the old school video games i could make any button be any thing i want it to be. but ill either use default or bump and jump
