So I preordered and payed off my halo 4 console and was wondering if anyone knows how to transfer data from the original Xbox (white one) to the halo 4 console? I was also wondering what people thought about the new $60 Triton… are they worth it?
buy a transfer cable. though, i’m still frustrated that i wasn’t able to transfer my music from my old console to the new one. it must be some sort of copyright issue. but it’s okay, i’ll live.
You could put your files onto a USB that’s configured with the Xbox, or you could buy an Xbox 360 Transfer Cable.

no the white transfer wont work. I just bought the new one for the slim xboxs cause I have also ordered the box
i think MS updated the transfer cable to add the connector for the new hard drives whilst keeping the connector for the last gen hard drives (those big bulky ones that take up too much space with a connector that looks too unstable)
screw the transfer cables, im just putting my slim 250gb into my new console and using the 320gb in my old slim that my wife / kids will be using xD i dont even use that much memory anyways
Just recover your profile on the new console. The only thing you’ll be out are game saves. If you would like to keep your saves. Save them in the cloud on your old console before the recovery.
Just a question, when you transfer stuff does it leave the original on the old hard drive?
If you have the money, try and get a headset with Dolby Surround Sound. It’s pretty nice for gaming. I picked up the 2013 Astro A40’s, which are pricey, but it was justifiable because I game hours everyday all year, so it was worth spending money on one of my hobbies.
Tritton and Turtle Beach are good for the price, but I’ve had pairs and my friends that have broke quickly, wires fray, all sorts of problems. It’s good on a budget though.
A lot of gaming sites will do headset reviews. In the world of a ton of gaming accessories and goodies, research is key.
Love the headset, definitely recommend it.

Nope. All items are moved to the new HDD and the old HDD is wiped clean and re-formated.

Ah, do original xbox games content fair well?
About the headset, I plan on getting a pair of Astro A50’s because apparently they have better sound than the Trittons, and Turtle beach, but being able to use the Trittons with out any cords is sweet.

- Recover you GT to your new xbox
- go to account settings/management
- “License transfer”
- go to download history
- re-download everything that you want
PS. Everything will still work on the old xbox too. Its not a real license TRANSFER, more of a copy, and there is no transfer cable or anything needed. For Game-saves, move them on the old xbox to cloud save, then open cloud save on the new xbox, move them to your HDD. Repeat as many times as needed

I had the A50’s (which had amazing sound quality), they have just the perfect amount of bass and highs, I ended up swapping for the wired A40’s though, both are very good. Have numerous friends that have had their A40’s for years.

When I did my transfer I lost Fable. But I’m pretty sure you may be able to recover it from download history. I’ll check right now for ya.
I like my Tritons but… they are mad by Madcatz. I am on my second pair. If you get them, put them one your head slowly. They can wear out easy.
Question about the Triton Triggers 60$ ones are the ones I want.
I’m not going to be able to afford them until December or so, so I was wondering: Do you think they’ll have the Halo 4 ones in stock then?

Yes, if for some reason your original Xbox games do not port over. You can go to your download history and nab them there.
thanks for all the responses/ advice on the headset and how to transfer my data!
