Hello all, while reading the 07.25.12 Weekly Bulletin I saw that they finally stated what the unique bonuses are for it and what sound effects the console makes.

A few observations:
Bs angel said that armor would not be locked away so I’m sure that she meant the “FOTUS skin” is what we’ll be getting. I may be wrong but reading the quote leads me to think that the Light Rifle may be a primary weapon, because so far only primary weapons have skins (AR & BR). Finally I believe that the “unique unicorn emblem” will be this emblem that we’ve already seen.

Silly you 
Ofcourse any controller will work with ANY 360 model on the market. You’ll only be able to get the two in the Halo 4 console edition if you buy that.
The other LE controllers have a different finish but still with the blue light.
OT: Sweet! Gives me more reason to dumb the old glossy black slim for the awesome new forerunner Xbox.
That emblem is absolutely hilarious. Glad to see that Halo 4 will be supporting master of Unicorns
In all seriousness, great post scourse. I have yet to read the bulletin but I will soon. Im curious what the FOTUS looks like. If I am correct, we have yet to se it. If you find it before I do, please update this thread

Oh ok thanks i had a controller i purchased didn’t work Gamestop told me certain controllers don’t work with slim that’s why i asked.

Well of course it will work. Just press the sync button on the Xbox and the controller like you do with any other controller and BAM! you’re done.
I’m considering picking up the console along with the Limited Edition of the game and selling my Slim to my friend and using a data transfer cable to send everything from my 250gb harddrive to the 320gb one. I figure after selling the Slim, it’ll all total out to about $100 total because I’ll also sell him the copy of 4 and one of the controllers in the box.

I’m starting to wonder if all weapons will have skins available. I mean, why only let certain weapons have the ability to be customized by the player? Think about it, if I can have a rocket launcher with some crazy scheme, I would totally do it. Sure you won’t start with a rocket launcher in most gametypes, but in customs or forge, it could be cool.
I hope that the FOTUS armor is truly armor and not a skin. Give something nice to those getting the console.

I’m fairly certain everything that exists from preorders/special offers will be in game unlock-able eventually. The recon helmet for preordering was unlocked by ranking up in Reach. You just got it earlier than everyone else.
misread the armor as -Yoink!-, I though 343 had a dark sense of humor. at least I know what I’m going to call that armor now

False, without the preorder you didn’t get that VARIANT for the helmet. You could get the default one but that attachment was unique.
Where did the FOTUS armor thing come from, google provides no info.
I wonder if the LE comes with the FOTUS armor as well because the description says it comes with a spartan armor customization schematic in the briefing packet, just doesnt say what armor.

I didn’t mean the attachment. I meant the helmet itself. B.net users had this same discussion back then, claiming you wouldn’t even get the helmet in the end. I’m still certain we’ll be able to unlock these things on our own, or at least a variation of it.

Not gonna lie… i’m kinda POed that they list all that dlc (weapon skins, armor skins, props, etc) for the xbox and then "if you get the controller here is an avatar t-shirt. But i’m still glad i get something extra for it!

It depends, if it’s a variant of the FOTUS armor then I’d agree with you but if it’s the base armor it’ll likely stay exclusive like the flaming legendary helmet.
