I have had MAJOR issues with Halo 4 War Games lately. Seems to hit about 9PM PST. All is going fine and suddenly I, “Lost connection to Halo servers”.
Next thing I know I have been “Disconnected from Xbox Live”. I have to go to my 360 home screen, log back into Live, and then start Halo 4 again. I am not having trouble with any other Live games, not Warface, Defiance, nor Netflix, or YouTube. I have contacted Xbox and they seem to be passing the buck(to you).
Firstly is there anyone else experienceing this issue and if so, what can be done to fix? This is the game that my kids and I can ALL play, way better than Scrabble!

No dice, it didn’t work. It is now worse than ever. I click Play Halo 4 in my home screen, it loads to the Press Start part. I press start and then lose connection to xbox halo servers, then get disconnected from xbox live. I can’t log back into xbox live in halo 4 and so go back home. As soon as I am there I automatically sign back into xbox live with no trouble. Whats next?
Ouch! No response. Ok well more info. Halo Reach did it as well. Was able to find and play a game of Halo 3(brought back some good memories of a simpler time) with no issues. Couldn’t find my multi player disk for ODST otherwise I would have tried that one too.
IS THERE ANYONE ELSE HAVING ANY ISSUES SIMILAR???

So I took my hardrive out and gave my 360 a -Yoink!-(CO2). Seems to have been effective for the dropping out of Xbox Live but not for the Halo 4 server issues. Still seems to be happening everyday. Am gonna give it another test tonight, and keep you informed.
I was experiencing very similar issues when I was playing Halo 4 before Christmas on my 360, disconnects with the Halo servers and getting booted from Xbox live. I posted a thread about this.
Just yesterday I discovered that my Arris SBG6782 Advanced WiFi Modem does not like Xbox live at all. This was confirmed my a number of documented cases on my ISP’s Internet Support Forum.
There are a couple of modems that resolve the disconnects with Xbox Live: Cisco DPC3825 Wireless Modem or the Hitron CGNM-2250-SHW. The problem you described isn’t limited to just Halo 4, as I was dropping consistently from the game as well as XB LIve while playing Destiny on my XB1.
My ISP gave me the Hitron…I installed it last night and played for a couple of hours. Not 1 drop from the game server or Xbox Live. I placed my XB1 in a DMZ.
When Halo 4 was released for the 360, after opening my NAT I had no connectivity issues. Only after I moved and got a new internet modem did I start seeing problems.
I recommend investigating your modem, pretty sure the problem lies there.
You are right. I had 2 router that were connected. Shaw came and gave me a new router/modem and I still had problems. I connected the 360 directly via wifi and it worked, so I hard lined into the new router and it is now working as well. Faulty router.
Now though around 8:30(PST) I start having trouble with connecting to Halo 4 servers. I no longer get bounced from Xbox live but I can’t play online multi player.
Started playing Halo 3 for a bit till the same thing happened to it. 3hours later I was able to play online multi player on Halo 4 again with no issue for 30mins or so till I got bounced from the servers again.
No longer having Live issues. I get bounced after games that I am spawn killed in EPIC fashion.
I get 6 kills(average is 10-15, I suck), and I die 25(ish) times. Perhaps the AI thinks I am not playing? Or that I am just sponging off my teammates for XP?
I have the hardware sorted out but now need to sort out the software.
Thank you for the response. I might just try the DMZ but am sure that won’t work as I have opened; port 88(UDP), port 3074(both), port 53(both), & port 80(TCP).

I will have to try and play Halo 4 again on my 360 tonight and see if I am still getting dropped from the Halo servers. I will let you know the results
I have absolutely HORRIBLE news to report. I have determined the problem…
Seeing as I seem to be the only one having this difficulty, and it now seems to happen sooner and sooner. I don’t have to be on Halo for my connection to be dropped anymore. All my computers and wireless devices are having no issues. Wirelessly I have continuous access to Xbox Live.
I have determined that my ethernet port on my 360 is…(sniff) :’( …the source of the problem. Words cannot describe the sadness that I have felt since I have figured it out.
I am sorry if anyone has wasted time on a hardware problem for me and Thank you for trying. I guess I shall have to use the wireless feature on the 360 and get pawned on a regular basis(as if it didn’t happen regularly anyway, but no longer able to justify it by calling them “Modders”).
I guess I should think about either, repairing my mistress, or trading her in for a newer model. If I go the new model route I have to upgrade at least one of my computers to Win 10.
Anyway, Thanks Again for your help and support, may we meet on rings, planets, and moons of other worlds … to throw things at one another.

I am getting right choked! Still happening even when I am on the wireless. Doing it on Destiny as well. Am gonna try someone elses xbox on my network and see if it is my set up or if it is just my box. I am at my wits end. I can’t afford an xbox one. I want one but there is no extra dough when one has 4 kids!
I’m having the same problem I have open NAT I don’t disconnect from reach or anything idk what to do
halo 4 for xbox 360: the connection servers are very sad. Every morning when I wake up to play it says, you have lost your connection to xbox live. Even when I’m playing matchmaking I’m glitching everywhere. Its like there making you get xbox one.
Dude, all the halo servers went down today ( the date is March 25, 2015) and all the games and armor just got reset and messed up ar 9pm Eastern Time, I’m playing, I put on some new armor and boom, I go from level 87 to level 1, I look through my spartan hub and everything is fine but when u go into a game, there are only the default loadouts, just to make sure, this is HALO 4, my favorite game, but if everything just reset, I’m quitting, I click on my spartan and it says I’m level 25, but I go back and I’m 1, my friend’s thing told him he was 30, then 1, but I feel sorry for him, because if halo 4 reset, his game us ruined, he was so good, he was level 130, he was a ninja, but now he’s a noob, like me and everyone else.
Started playing again recently and the same thing has been happening to me the past month. Constantly getting kicked off Xbox Live or unable to connect to the halo 4 servers. This is the only game so far that has done this. When I load up Halo Reach I don’t have this problem anymore.
Nightly we are having connection issues as well, if we have more than 2 ppl in a party we cannot load any game, solo works just fine though… Any thoughts?
ok so me and my friends where trying to play halo four Spartan ops but it said servers down!
so then we tried to play multi player got one game laggy as all heck then after the game we couldn’t connect to each other
