Halo 4 confessions of a noob, share yours!

So, whether you’ve got some guilty confessions or things you kept doing as a noob in halo 4, most of us should yah something to say so share yours!
Keep it clean and friendly! [:)]

I’ll start, the first weapon I mastered was the boltshot, because I like forerunner stuff. More like a guilty confession but I’ll try thinking of noob confession.

I hadn’t played an FPS since Doom / Wolfenstein days, and I’m still having difficulties aiming using a console controller (but getting better).

So, obviously, the sticky grenade was the first weapon commendation I mastered.

I used the DMR until SR-26 (LR unlock) and the BS until I unlocked FirePower!

:S

I hate to say this, but I’ve spawnkilled my own team in Grifball before…

They deserved it so it does not count.

Sometimes I place my personal performance above my team. Sometimes they deserve it, but it’s not right I know.

My greatest sin in Halo comes from Reach. I was once the world leader in Armor Lock kills. I am ashamed of this, it is a red mark on my reputation.

I used to camp with the Boltshot with Active Camouflage…

I mastered the commendations in a day…

What have I done to the world…???

My n00b fail is not joining MM until about 2 months ago. My lack of skill is pretty obvious by looking at my Service Record. :stuck_out_tongue:

I use PV, an AA that I actually want removed from the game because it makes locating players WAY too easy.

I do mix it up though with regeneration field and thruster pack, at least.

I used the Boltshot for half a day back in 2012. Those killing sprees will bring shame and dishonor to my family name for generations to come.

I’ve been playing video games for close to 30 years now, tons of FPSs, and yet I can’t aim for -Yoink- in Halo.

I swear, watching “Top 10 Kills” on IGN and so forth…how the hell do people headshot someone halfway across the map with pinpoint aim with a BR? You see people leap in the air and, while spinning around, kill six other players and get a ‘Killimanjaro’ or whatever it is. It doesn’t seem possible. Meanwhile I can’t hit the broadside of a barn with the BR…I dread what the reduced aim-assist will do to my beloved AR, I’ll probably stand right in front of my target and still miss every shot.

Some games I do alright, others I’m a complete -Yoink!- with my aim all over the place. There’s no rhyme or reason to it, I don’t seem to be getting steadily better, and it pisses me off. I really want to be consistently good at this, but my performance is just so random…

I will never have a +K/D. I’m close (0.95 I think?) but I just don’t see it happening, not with my “one game good/next game terrible” performance. I know it’s not the be all-end all stat but it’s a good basic measure, and I just want it positive -Yoink!-! And I don’t farm kills in CTF or whatever people do, as I only play Slayer, Flood and sometimes Regicide.

Nonsense, that’s what Grifball is all about!

I’ve abused the DMR in Halo 4. I feel bad, but I just want to get the commendation finished, then never touch such an evil weapon ever again.

I used to camo camp. Looking back, it’s not something im proud of. Playing big team with tons of camo campers now makes me more mad that anything.

I used DMR for 1-2 months since it felt good before I realised that it’s actually overpowered and in protest switched to BR and Carbine.

Boltshot charges with thrusters in Regicide before the boltshot nerf. Yeah, the equivalent of a kick–Yoink- tornado, but an event I regret as I know how unfair my advantage was.

I started Halo 4 using the DMR because I prefer the DMR as a gun to the BR, but I think I’ve redeemed myself and the Light Rifle, which probably requires the most skill to use, is now my most used weapon

I will use the DMR, Boltshot, and Promethean Vision in Halo 4.

I will use double maulers, needlers, or plasma rifles in Halo 3.

I will use and do everything in my power to win.

I am close to the best.

I used Camo with the Boltshot when the game first came out.

Before long I switched it up.

Haha. I’ll go along with this as my Halo 4 noob moment as well. Except I’ve gone to the light rifle a lot more now and that’s probably going to become OP. Glad I did use the DMR starting off though or my k/d would be a lot worse than it already is.

The first two weapons I mastered were the DMR and Stickies. I think I’ve made up for it, though, because I pretty much only use the BR now.

I also used to use the Jetpack all the time. Now, I’ve come to realize how much better the Thruster Pack is.
