Halo 4 Complete Map List

In Halo 4 there are a total of 10 multiplayer maps + 3 forge environments + 9 DLC maps.
In this thread I will summarize all of the maps known so far plus the ones that haven´t been revealed yet.

Standard on-disk maps:

  1. Haven
  2. Adrift
  3. Longbow
  4. Exile
  5. Solace
  6. Complex
  7. Ragnarok (aka Valhalla)
  8. Unknown
  9. Unknown
  10. Unknown

Forge environments:

  1. Ravine
  2. Shown at PAX Prime, Grifball
  3. Unknown

This is what we know so far. Including the 9 future DLC maps we get a total of 22 completely individual Simulation Arenas to play in War Games!

That really is awesome.

And I expect a few Forge-crafted maps to be added, so we can expect about 25-30 different maps for War Games.

My favorite so far is Exile.

Solace looks legit and it’s symmetrical. Dominion is going to be a very interesting gametype with it’s tower defense elements (I.E setting up turrets and what not to defend bases).

Exile will most likely not have the vehicles in the final build. I’ve read something about that and it being catered to 5 V 5 skirmishes or something along those lines. Looks interesting nonetheless.

Haven and Adrift seem perfect for FFA.

Longbow is the most visually pleasing IMO.

Haven is gorgeous.

Solace is my favourite map so far. Then Exile and then Longbow.

The 5V5 thing was mentioned by BravoMLG in his latest video while talking about Solace. He mentioned that it might be too big for the traditional MLG 4V4; then he made a comment about MLG going to 5V5. Not really a confirmation, but rather just a, “Hey, what do you guys think of this” comment.

Yes.

the last 4 better all be symmetrical or alot of people are going to be annoyed

So the ten maps do NOT include the Forge environments? So we get 13 maps? Have a drink on me, 343.

That’s right, but some information can be misleading.

I prefer everything except Forge World. The only map I think from Reach is better. MM maps are amazing. New skull and bomb look cool. 38 days left!

It’s wonderful to be in a thread here on Waypoint where the responses are mostly positive.

OT: Yes, the maps are awesome and I am happy to see some symmetrical maps like Solace and Haven. I think Reach suffered from a lack of symmetrical maps.

Longbow looks perfect for me. Adrift looks like a good swat map.

I’m hoping we get a decent few small maps, since map size seems to have generally increased. Sprint becoming standard seems to have resulted in maps becoming considerably larger with longer corridors and such, so maps like Haven that are probably closer to mid-sized are considered small.

Solace looks nice but it simply seems too big for fast paced 4v4.
