I was watching the Halo Arena competition, that was occuring today. When they were playing Halo 2, the sword was allowed, but it wasn’t in the Reach games.
Why was the sword allowed in Halo 2 but not Reach?
Will the new weapons in Halo 4 be allowed to be used in these professional competitions?

Well obviously. But, what are the reasons? Lunge length, etc?

In Halo 2 it was always allowed because it was map default, and that was when the MLG settings weren’t much different from regular. They took it out later because they had the ability to, and other weapons/powerups would be better suited, which is why sword wasn’t taken out in Halo 3’s midship remake, because it fit the map well, the sword for Reach doesn’t fit in MLG gameplay.
Ah, Forge and a larger ability to customize the weapons on map.
I see I see.
