HALO 4 COMBINED RANKING SYSTEM.

Okay here’s the thing, the competitive community want a ranking system based off skill (1-50); but in Reach we had a ranking system based off credits, a system which rewarded people who played the game in any game mode. The positives of the credit system were that people who didn’t have Xbox Gold Membership could still level up, and buy armour.

Well here’s my idea, a combined system for Halo 4!

Here’s how it works:
You receive credits for playing games in Halo 4, Campaign, Multiplayer, Forge, anything. These credits are then spent on armour or anything else you can buy. The amount of Credits you earn DO NOT effect your ranking up, that’s based on skill. HOWEVER this poses a problem for people who stagnate, or are new to the game. To counter this, I came up with the idea that people who were struggling to rank up could in fact rank up by ‘buying’ a rank, using the Credits that they have earned. Here’s an Example:

Let’s Say you are a Captain Grade 3 and are struggling to reach the next rank, Major. It might cost 150000 Credits to purchase this rank you do so, thus being able to buy the armour piece you really wanted. To balance this you should only be able to purchase up ranks, not being able to purchase up Rank Grades.

Cheers that’s pretty much what I was aiming for, a ranking system which benifits everyone, even those who don’t play online as much.

If the ranking system is similar to what I said, it would be the best ranking system. because not only does it show time, but it also shows effort and skill.
