This is simply a trick you can do. The user in that picture put a lot of spaces in front of their motto and simply put “Halo 4 (Beta)” at the end of it.
There was the recent closed door playtest where several football players, some members from the Halo community and MLG’s very own Killa KC to play an unfinished build of what was shown at the Spring Showcase earlier this year. It wasn’t a beta though, the pic is most likely fake
Though i want to make it clear and for the record; most players are asking for a Beta but in reality, they are asking for a demo.
Beta’s are not simply used for early access but to test the games online and gameplay systems. Usually has bugs and players are supposed to submit bugs but most don’t.
That’s why i don’t think there should be a Beta but a demo before we play Halo 4 (near release date). Most players DONT submit bug reports. Simply want to play the game early and it doesn’t help the company running the Beta if most of it’s players are not helping.
Demos are usually a short trial of the final build and i think that is more feasible and more in line of the community is asking.

There is a beta but its only for beta testers employed by 343.
And thats the way it should be.
All people do in public betas is complain about how the beta is laggy and that it ends in 2 weeks.In private beta people actually look for bugs and report them.
Oh and as someone else stated that is not real any one can do that.
