Halo 4 should have the Master Chief helmets from Halo CE and Halo 3, even if its just for campaign. (These would have to be unlockables)

I’m sure Mark V and VI will return in multiplayer, even possibly Mark V**, the default helmet from Reach.**

No it is not based on people who played the start of the game. He wake up in the redesign MkVI. MkVII use nanotech and is at that time a prototype created by Halsey to replace the MkVI. It is also used by a very small minority of Spartan (Glasslands book). The only Spartan known to wear it is Naomi (Spartan-010).

It’s still the MKVI armor. The MKVI has the capability of upgrading a bit in cryo sleep. That’s what Corrana did. She upgraded the armor in cryo sleep for agility and an updated HUD.

No, its still MkVI, but with a firmware upgrade.
I LOVE the new armor and I do not want the old one in.
Like everybody says, it’s still Mk.VI. Look at his right pec, it still has the same gash as we saw in previous Halos. Still not buying the “firmware” upgrade though, firmware is a software upgrade, it wouldn’t affect the armor.

Exactly. The firmware upgrade explains his HUD being different, but the armour itself is just different due to artistic liberties.
However, it is still Mark VI armour, the one he had on when he jumped into the cryo pod at the end of Halo 3.
