Halo 4 cant even reach halo 3 or even 2’s pre orders numbers in the same amount of time and with more 360 owners. Why are halo fans not supporting H4 if it will be so good?

There’s a lot of Halo fans that don’t see Halo 4 as being on par with Halo 3 let alone better.
I think the Halo formula has been messed with too much for it to ever be as glorious as it once was.
But at least we like it and will get to spend all of our free time playing it, right? That’s good news.

One Halo 3 was a 360 release title. Two I think a lot of people were scared off by Reach. When 3 came out people had no reason to doubt because 2 was so awesome. Now we look at Reach and are scared.
I know it will be awesome, some people just don’t seem to think so. I think it might have to do with the switch from bungie to 343i.

Less people owned 360’s back then. Pretty sad considering im not exited for halo 4 and i pre ordered it.
Of course it won’t, Halo 3 was the end of a trilogy. People were getting hyped up for the conclusion, even people who didn’t care about Halo before it in order to be part of the crowd. People are always under the impression that the third part is usually the “throw everything at you” and will therefor be the best.
We probably won’t see anything come close to Halo 3 until Halo 6 because it’s the end of a new trilogy. Now I’m wishing that they didn’t simply numbered it to 4-6. Come up with a new title or something.

Halo 2 was unfinished, and the campaign (even though i loved it) was awful, the game was uncomplete and released way to early, people had every reason to doubt Halo 3, your point is flawed.

You’re right. It wasn’t a launch I guess, but it was probably the first really big one to come out. (I can’t remember that long ago, give me a break.)

UUUmmmm… No it wasn’t. Halo 3 came out almost 2 years after 360 release. But OT I agree people had no reason to doubt the game because Halo 2 was so great. But after Reach some people are thinking “I don’t know, not sure if it’ll be that good”.

As long as Halo 4 has enough players to be able to play a game, I am not bothered by sales.
And from what I’ve seen, Halo 4 has plenty of sales. 
Pre-orders don’t mean which is the better game.
Halo 4 is in an odd situation, more games, more changes, new developer, etc.
There are many reasons for people to be more skeptical, and not just because of the way the franchise is going.
And Halo 4 isn’t at the end of its marketing time, we haven’t even seen Forward Unto Dawn. Judge after release.

So the 500,000+ people who have pre-ordered it don’t exist now? I get it’s not the 4 million, but after Reach and acknowledging the fact this is 343i’s first full Halo game, people are skeptical.
It’s quality, however, isn’t riding on the number of pre-orders it gets.

Thats just idiotic.
Why would you soend money and pre-order a game you don’t even like? Just spending money because you have it?
It is hard to pre-order a game you know nothing about.
