Halo 4: CAnnot play Multuplayer or Campaign

Hello all,

Well, last week I received my copy of Halo 4 and started up the campaign. I played for about two hours and stopped and tried to play some multiplayer. It took me several tries as I kept getting reset back to the start screen for some reason after enteriing a lobby and picking a map. The game would load and when it reached 100%, it would kick me out. Finally it let me in though and I played a few rounds and had a blast. I quit and put it away and started it back up the next day and was unable to do anything. The campaign would freeze and stat that I had an unreadable disc, when the game is brand new and spotless. Also, I play a bunch of other games and never receive this error and still do not receive this error except for this game. Then I tried to play some multiplayer slayer matches with my brother. We would get into a lobby and after picking the map it would go to load up the game and it would be stuck on 0%. People started leaving and then I left and my brother said the game started right up after I left the game. Weird. This happened 3 times in a row with the same results. I reset my modem just in case and the same thing happened. I play a ton of Gears 3 and Battlefield 3 and never have connection issues. I have a wired connection, a good router. My xbox is the one withouth the HDMI connections and it has a 20 gig hardrive.

I have deleted all of the Halo 4 data and started a new, but nothing has worked. I’m beyond frustrated.

Sounds like maybe your optical drive might be on its way out. I had this problem with my old xbox. It wouldn’t read one game, but would read others that I tried. It was really annoying and would only work half of the time, until it stopped working all together and I bought a new xbox.
Other things you can try are uninstalling the game from your HDD and clearing your cache. I never had much luck with the latter, but you might if you try it.
