Hi,
I’m trying to complete the campaign on laso difficulty but have recently found that the mission Forerunner will load up to 22% and then drop back to 0%. This will happen a couple of times until it just displays a message saying “Players failed to load content. A player may be missing downloadable content.”
I’ve seen this error happen to other people too and I’ve been looking on the internet but haven’t found a solution, so I thought I’d post here. Any suggestions?
Is your disk scratched?
No I think the disc is fine, my xbox has been struggling to read discs lately, I’m hoping that’s not the reason behind it 
Did you installed the game? Buying a HDD is highly recommended, it can extends the lifetime of your game discs and the Xbox’s reader device.
There’s not enough room on my hard drive for me to install the game unfortunately
Oh, well that’s not good. How old is the console? Do you have guarantee for it? If it’s have hard time reading discs, It’s a bad sign. Did you experienced that kind of problem with other games and/or media discs?
All my other games run fine after about a couple of times opening and closing the disc tray, and I have an xbox arcade which is almost a year old i think not too sure
I have the exact same issue. Its driving me wild. I have read that many other people had or still have the issue. I have installed disk 2 but the console wont install disk 1 and when I go to play campaign it gives me that same error message. I feel I have been robbed.
At radio shack you can buy a CD cleaner. It’s a disc like a CD or game, but with bristles on it and a solution to cleanse the lens on the CD player. Perhaps it can do this for the XBOX?
