I wonder if this means were finally getting the long requested Legacy Matchmaking for Spartan Ops as well (which has been a missing feature for a very long time)! However, this really does need improvements for matchmaking like the Time and Scoring Systems (even on the 360 version never got) from Firefight or the Campaign UI and the same skulls that Halo 3/ODST and Reach (which still needs more skulls) into Halo 4.
Campaign and Spartan Ops Theater is OK (which was cut from the original Halo 4 and I have seen that mod by Zeddkins that go released online for Halo 4 which added Theater), but that isn’t going to bring us back to playing both modes again unless we get something like Matchmaking to accompany both.

For anyone curious the source is the message of the day in the MCC menus. Looks like the announcement released a day early.
Appreciate the theater support. The trend that H4 started to disable theater in campaign is asinine. Folks love to take a look a look at the campaign in closer detail.
Hopefully we can see a more in depth overview this week for the November update.
I’m sorry, WHAT??? [String of positive expletives] If it can then come for Halo 5, and down the line Halo Infinite, that’d be AWESOME.
I’m still waiting on Campaign cross-play too.
