Halo 4 Campaign Possibility?

Ok, so at the end of the Legendary ending of Halo Wars, the AI sais “Captain, wake up, something has happened” possibly she picked up the transmission of Cortana’s beacon?? It is possible, since they went in cryo when spirit of fire came out of that planet…

dude Halo Wars is wayyyyy before Halo 4
so
no.

Last I checked, 343 said they have no plans to use the Spirit of Fire. While it wouldn’t be a bad idea, it would be very coincidental if they just happened to stumble on Cortana’s beacon after 20+ years wandering in space.

Halo Wars takes place like 10 years before the events of Halo Combat Evolved so I highly doubt it.

When you’re in cryo, aging slows down considerably, so it might be that they just never came to their location so they never were revived? and the AI is probably limited so did not wake them up, keep in mind that not all AI’s are like Cortana with a mind of her own…

It’s unlikely. The ending of Halo Wars was intended towards a Sequel hint in my opinion. WHich probably won’t happen after Microsoft repaid them by dismantling them after the Age of Empires series.

  1. What are they going to eat for abotu 20 years in cryo?
  2. Serina is like Cortana, both are smart AIs.

When you’re in cryo, you’re body is slowed down, not only the aging, but also your digestive system. that’s how they can travel for long periods of time without needing to re-supplie everywhere

popsicles.

You’re missing a key component in all this, they would be using slipspace while in cryo. So sure, a few weeks to a month in cryo won’t be that bad, but 20+ years in cryo going in a random direction? You don’t see the issue with that? Don’t forget not everyone is in cryo, they had a skeleton crew in place to keep the ship running. What will they eat? Even if you keep alternating the crew the food will run out eventually.

where did you hear they kept a skeleton crew in place? because if that’s true, one of those crew members could’ve just woke him up instead of serina…

did you even play Halo wars? they have no slipspace drive anymore…
EDIT: Sorry man i read that completely wrong, it’s late, sorry

You unlock it on the Halo Wars timeline by finding the Black Box on Mission 14.

> did you even play Halo wars? they have no slipspace drive anymore…

Yes I know that, don’t jump to conclusions please. Why else do you think I said they were going in a random direction? If they had a drive, they could just jump home. Seriously, think things through.

The Spirit of Fire most likely went in the direction of Reach or Earth. I don’t think Halo 4’s planet is in that direction. It could be, but unlikely.

Serina is a Smart-AI, so she would have went rampant after 7 years. That means she would definetly be rampant 20+ years after Halo Wars. Unless she got through it and becomes stable again. Possible, but still unlikely. Cutter would have most likely had Serina decomissioned before she could possibly do any harm.

Cryosleep slows pretty much everything in the person’s body. Though it is safe and good to use for longer periods of time, (a few to several months), I don’t think being in cryosleep for 20+ years is that safe. Im guessing there would be some side effects of long term cryosleep, which would mean they would maybe bring everyone back once in a while. But then, they would still need food, and the Spirit is a big ship. A lot of crew. Need lots of food. They also need fuel. They would have to stop by a planet or asteroid on the way to gather resources or find an alternate fuel source.

It would be cool to see the Spirit of Fire return, but I don’t think it’ll happen in Halo 4. If any crew was still alive, I don’t think they would be in very good condition. The only way I could see the Spirit being in Halo 4, is if it was crashed on the surface.

And philipnash19: When DepctionCobra was refering to the slipspace, he was talking about a usual space journey, a few weeks to a few months. Then he started talking about the Spirit’s condition, it would take 20+ years to return to friendly space. If you thought about it you would see that he was saying it didn’t have a slipspace drive, he just said it without saying it directly.

How do we even know they were in cryogenic-sleep for twenty-plus years? Remember, they were on a Forerunner Shield World. It’s assumed that Master Chief is heading towards a Shield World. For all we know, these two worlds could be close together. The Spirit Of Fire could have been sucked in, just like John-117 is.

Also remember that the Spirit Of Fire used to be a colony ship, but was refit for military service. They could have arrived at this Shield World and set up a colony. It could be explained. And just because Frank O’Connor stated that there’s no plans for the Spirit Of Fire, doesn’t mean nothing will happen.

We don’t know for sure, but the Spirit left the destroyed sheild world in 2531. By 2553, it has not reached UNSC space. And they all know very well that Humanity is at stake, I doubt Cutter would abandon the UNSC to set up a colony on an unknown planet.

The Spirit of Fire was/is a colony ship, yes. But it was almost completely outfitted to be a warship. Mainly used for orbital support, it was upgraded with MAC guns and pretty much everything on the ship would have been reconfigured to house marines and armor (tanks/aircraft). I doubt any terraforming equipment or much colony-making equipment would be left on the ship.

So, as its not impossible, it is pretty unlikely.

Oh, and the Spirit of Fire may have been destroyed. At first, ONI kept the ship as Missing In Action. But in 2534, it was suddenly declared Lost With All Hands. ONI kept this change classified.

This was learned through Halo Wars’ blackboxes.

exactly,Spirt of Fire’s crew could not stay in cryo for 20+ years. agreed. but they could be in/on the shield world or whatever Chief and Cortana saw.

Yes, they could have went to the Sheild World Chief is going to. But I doubt they would stop at it for a long time, only to get food or fuel if they did find it. If they stayed and set up a colony, if they find a way to, that would be considered abandoning the UNSC and Humanity at its time of need. I doubt Cutter would do that.
