Hi all,
I have been playing the Halo 4 campaign, and have currently reached mission 5 (reclaimer), but after destroying the cannons, and getting to the Covenant outpost, I get all the Ghosts, Phantoms and Wraiths to destroy, but the outpost is empty, and the ‘unidentified’ Covenant ship that gets mentioned over the radio is just not there.
Obviously, this means that I cannot get any further, so I’m pretty annoyed at the minute.
If anyone has any advice, I’d appreciate it.
BTW, I have started the mission from the beginning again, but still no luck.
This is a pretty big game-breaking bug. Hopefully not too many other people are experiencing it!
did you destroy the object with the target locator? If it’s the part I’m thinking about you have to destroy somethign to trigger the covenant ship to come.

I have destroyed the two particle cannons, and then get warped next to a Rail-Hog (a bit un-Halo like, tbh), and a message comes over the radio saying that an ‘unidentified Covenant ship’ is on approach, get lots of Phantoms dropping Ghosts and Wraiths, but then nothing else. There is nothing left to shoot, and the hill is totally empty, except for some Covenant barriers and ordinance.
I’m baffled!

Can you keep walking down the road? If your at the part with the acid running across you have to get inside the mammoth
If I walk down one road, it says ‘Return to the Battlefield’ and gives a timer, and the other is blocked by an invisible wall (?). The Mammoth doesn’t move, and just sits there.
I think I may have a bugged copy.
I’ve been playing the LE copy that arrived yesterday, and now my H4 console has arrived, so I’ll give the version that came with that a go, just to rule out a faulty disc…
Nothing seems to work. I am really annoyed and very disappointed by this!
have you restarted the mission? try install the game? should be a big -Yoink- drop ship.
I’ve tried both copies of the game that I have, I’ve tried running from disc and also install, and restarted the mission multiple times, but the ship just does not show up! Gah, I’m at my wits end with it!!!
It does show briefly that the current objective is to board the Covenant ship, but if it isn’t there, I just can’t.
I checked a walkthrough on YouTube to see what is supposed to happen, and I’m doing everything right, just no ship…
Right, I’ve cleared my Xbox System Cache to remove the Title Update, just in case that caused the issue. If this doesn’t work, then I’m going to have to start Campaign over again to try to clear the glitch.

Deleting the title update and reinstalling it did the trick.
Jeez, the whole level was borked before! Now I have the ship over the hill, music and everything! Didn’t realise just how ‘not right’ it was until now!

Im having the exact same issue. How do you delete the update?
ugh, this sucks -Yoink-! I did it on legendary and I’m having the same problem…

Yeah… i had that too, but when i starded all over you will see that spaceship… go to it as soon as its gravity lift goes green… i think if you dont act fast it will be gone… You dont need to kill all of the ghost or wraiths…
If you keep dying after your last checkpoint enough times, you will go back two checkpoints so just keep killing yourself when you spawn and eventually you will go back a bit… Might give the game the chance to get itself into gear then!
