What the? i bought halo 4 twice cause when i want to play halo 4 single player campaign reset after the first checkpoint, the part when you go to the elevator, so it freeze, screen turn black and then puff…im on the main menu asking myself what the heck is going on, so when i play my secon halo 4 by the way your welcom 343i now you are 50 dlls more rich, it does the same, at least i can play online multiplayer with out problems, so anyone know whats happening i have an xbox 360 arcade with a HDD of 20 gb and a external HDD 500 gb, i try installing in both HDD, before saying that my xbox is dying and is a sign of the red ring of dead i play tons of games with no problems, like halo 2,3,reach,CE anniversary, evil with in, bla bla bla, even i can play far cry 4 that is a recent game.

Have you tryed clearing your system cache? Oddly enough, sometimes, clearing your system cache can resolve a good handful of issues.If that does not work, then delete Halo 4 and all DLC relating to Halo 4 from your HDD, clear your system cache, reinstall Halo 4 from both discs and redownload all Halo 4 DLC. Sometimes the installed Halo 4 data can become corrupted and might need to be sweeped(deleted) and reinstalled.

I have the same problem as al0808 and I cleared the cache. it didn’t do anything except delete all of my other game data. I also sweeped all my halo 4 data and redownloaded it, it still did the same thing.
