Halo 4 Cameras

I have had a problem with the idea of the found footage camera angles that appeared first in ODST and later in Reach. I understand that they were trying to appeal to some idea of a realistic documentation to the events, but I felt in many ways, the cutscenes suffered for it. I give a slight pass to ODST however, as much of the camera footage was seen through the eyes of Virgil, an important character to the plot. Halo Reach is where it became disjointed. They would switch from the found footage cameras to traditional and back again in a matter of seconds. In most cases, it felt really disjointed and cumbersome compared to some of the better camera work done in Halo 2 and 3.

So, am I just grasping a straws or is this a legitimate complaint? Discuss.

I agree with this completley. I didn’t enjoy Reach’s cutscenes as much because of this. I really hope they go back to the old cinematic camera.

I loved the “found footage” parts, as you called them. I personally think it worked really well. That being said, I wouldn’t necessarily complain if it was absent from Halo 4.

I dont know, they did use some really impresive Camera shots to be like that of cinametic movie style. I thought it was pretty ok.
