Halo 4 came out too fast.

We didn’t get enough time with Halo Reach. I wouldn’t have minded waiting another year for Halo 4 to come out. Or at least until next September. Am I the only one who feels this way?

I think it was because Halo Reach was trashed so much that they wanted to release Halo 4 as fast as they could so people could get back into liking Halo. But Halo 4 is talked more negatively than Reach so yeah, definitely not a good thing.

I prefer a nice 3-year life cycle for major FPS games.

It’s no fun when the population goes packing before you’ve played to the point of being sick of it (well, plenty were sick with Reach, but you know what I’m talking about).

But also there are many unfinished things like, the invisible wallas surrounding edges and the player movemnet that is lacking that machinima people are angry about

an extra year would have been good.

Could I have waited another year? Maybe.

Am I happier that it’s out now? Absolutely.

Would the game be less broken if released later? definitely.

I would have waited another year, simply because the Reach TU made it the best game since Halo 2.

Sorry for the noobish question but what does TU stands for?

Reach made many Halo 2 and Halo 3 fans like myself quit entirely.

TU=Title update

Title Update.

It is when they fix certain issues they didn’t forsee or have time for before launch

Ohhhh thanks for the explanation n.n

Didn’t you hear? We’re taking part in 343’s “Beta on disc” just like the “you took part in our 14 day map pack trial” Halo 4 has yet to be released as a finished product.

No but seriously, I agree completely, I would of gladly of waited at least another Year if it meant my favourite gaming series wasn’t ruined. Yesterday I bought Farcry 3, Borderlands 2 and Skyrim and I proceeded to putting my Halo 4 in my roof space before I even played any of them. First Halo game I have ever abandoned, first Halo for me to of intentionally put it away to collect dust.

Title Update. They lowered bloom (even removed it completely for some gametypes) and added back bleedthrough. Playing No bloom No Sprint gametypes at 120 movement speed was fantastic.

What is bleed through? As that when beating down no longer strips ur shields and takes two hits to kill?

Does that really matter to the fun I’m having right now? Not really.

A longer wait would’ve been great if Reach didn’t suck as much as it did. 343 would’ve had more time to achieve feature parity and fix bugs.

I couldn’t care less if it came out sooner.

Its fun and that is all I care about.

No it didn’t a new halo usally comes out every 3 years.
