Seems to sum up Halo 4 tbh… Just received my new Halo 4 Console and yup, the case has been busted in transit.
So not only is the game busted atm, my console is too.
Dam that sucks. I bought the console as well love it
I like the console and controllers too… except for how brittle the case shell seems to be.
It’s on its way back now… hopefully the replacement will be back soon.
You always take risks when you have something fragile being shipped to you. I prefer buying things like that in person so I don’t have to worry about that stuff.
I blame UPS. Fed Ex is much more caring.
Reminds me of when I got my Reach console. It was at the Midnight Launch, and I was like 4th or 5th in line, and when I got my box, it had a big, curved dent in the corner. I thought it was no big deal, so I took it home. I got it from the nearest Gamestop, which was like an hour away. So I got home, played it, got to the part where you’re in the elevator with Kat on ONI Sword Base, and then the game crashed.
I tried it three more times and I got the same result.
So I completed the game on my old Xbox, drove an hour back to the Gamestop later that week, gave it to them, waited a week for the replacement, drove back, got it.
It sucked, but now I live in actual civilization, the nearest Gamestop is like ten minutes away, and my Halo 4 Xbox has no problems.

How do you think it got to the store? It get’s shipped to the store the same as being shipped to you. He just got a damaged one that could have gone to the store just the same.
The stupid thing is the Microshaft box is less than a millimetre thick with a tiny bit of foam packing (about 1mm of that… or less). THAT was put into another cardboard box and then shipped so the separation from exterior to the console itsel was about 2-3mm at most.
Now add the fact that the shipper didn’t put any FRAGILE stickers on (remember this is also a hard drive being shipped in here) and it gets VERY worrisome to say the least.
