The bullet magnetism, in combination with a number of other mechanisms in this game, has nearly completely eliminated any skill aspect that has existed in the Halo multiplayer. If it were toned down, it would dramatically improve the competitive potential of this game. If 343 hopes to recreate the competitive experience that existed in Halo 2 and 3, this is something that they will have to alter.
Video: Halo 4 Bullet Magnetism Demonstration on LAN
EDIT: I should add, this is not my video.
I agree. Sometimes the bullet hits the enemies head even though the bullet is like 3 feet away

Hahaha, 2:30 to 3:00 is hilarious. Sure is nice to see that the DMR isn’t broken. I’d like to see the light rifle do that

Leave it to 343 to make a game auto-pilot.

Actually, I’d like to see no gun do that, and actually having to aim being a requirement for winning a fight.
Halo players can’t aim online. It’s a given.
Solution: Moar Aim Assist
i am joking btw
No wonder everyone uses the DMR, you can aim a foot away and still connect shots. Oh and, I am one of those people haha.
They seriously need to change a bunch of things including this.
I can descope someone with the dmr while shooting at my enemies shoulders and still
get a headshot. The game shouldnt be like that.
Halo 2 and halo 3 got it right. If I’m aiming at your head and I’m better at the
game then i should win 95% of the time.
I really do hope they fix some stuff in this game with a huge TU.
They need to bring back social and ranked playlists like in halo 3.
I love this game but without ranks the longevity of the game decreases a lot.
Honestly this just shows you that luck has gotten many people kills instead
of skill. Throw lag in there and many players get away with tons of bs.
This just shows that they were aiming to make the game casual so the lesser skilled
players can rack up kills. Gosh i hope this changes.

holy -Yoink-, the DMR!
i started laughing my -Yoink- off when i saw that.
And they claim the DMR is for “skilled players” that’s BS, it’s as easy to use as the Assault Rifle with this amount of aim assist.
I never knew it was that bad…
Bravo. I don’t think it was intended as “magnetism” but just plain crappy programming. This proves what I suspected all along ever since I first played. It felt like a cheap knockoff and this just proves that is in fact just that. This won’t be fixed kids. If you release a turd like this after 3 years. Ain’t gonna take 3 months or less to fix.
Bravo on this video!
A friend of mine was looking at the bullet-magnetism on the Light Rifle earlier - it’s very, very infrequent that it does anything, but there is some.
Also, I still think the bullet-magnetism from Halo 2 was the worst yet.
> I still think the bullet-magnetism from Halo 2 was the worst yet.
Halo 2 was ridiculous with the magnetism.
