Ok so a lot of Halo fans have brought up stats on how the BR as a 4sk will make everything balanced and golden, otherwise the game will suck. However I have a question.
You guys are constantly pointing out the kill times, but I’ve yet to see someone link me to some proof that it does indeed take .4 seconds longer to kill someone. Only someone randomly yelling it on the forums.
343i is in the balance and polishing phase of production, they’ve said so many times, and I’m sure there taking into account OP weapons.

I’ve seen gameplay of the DMR and BR and it looks perfect, perfect example here. You see him missing a lot of kills? Nope. He misses kills because he either gets teamed or makes a mistake. It’s a perfect cleanup weapon, it’s good at suppressing and it’s good at killing.
DMR is perfect for killing at a farther distance and is ok for cleanup and ok at suppressing.
The BR should be a 7 shot along with the DMR and the carbine. Longer kill times make the game better and more challenging. Longer kill times promote a real balance and make it where melees, nades, and AAs matter more than bullets and aiming. More people will like the game if there is less emphasis on the gunplay. I think if the BR is to be balanced, they should give it some bloom to go with the bullet spread.
They should throw in “range” into the mix. By that I mean they should make BR damage change at range: If your close/mid 4 shots, if your long 5-6 shots. This will make it great at mid range but weaker than DMR at long range. It will create a significant difference between the weapons and not just two redundant 5 shot weapons.
Nerf all of the guns. Reliable utility weapons shouldn’t be the main thing about Halo multiplayer. Just look at what a disaster the pistol in CE and the H2 BR turned out to be. What about double punching? What about grenades? Why can’t the AR get some attention? After all, that’s the gun Master Chief John is holding in most of the Halo pictures. The AR is alot more skilled and random.
