Halo 4 BR Fix
Hey everyone, Woot, Halo 4 is coming out! Anyway, back at RTX and I think E3 there was build of Halo 4 where MLG players could get their feet wet in the new gameplay elements of Halo 4 multiplayer. There was only one problem - the BR is a 5 shot weapon now ):
I think the BR really should still be a 4 shot weapon, the issue is balancing this with the DMR’s 5 shot mechanic, this could be fixed where the trigger pulls are increased on the BR so that the DMR is a little quicker to put 5 shots on the player at the same time a 4 shot can also be performed. Although the other non UNSC weapons will also have to be play tested to make sure everything flows correctly.
Halo 4 Armor Lock Variant - "Bubble-Lock"
This one is a bit sticky, Halo Reach’s slayer playlist had a number of loud outs where players could choose: Sprint, Jet pack, Armor Lock, Invisibility, Hologram. Most of these armor abilities worked with one another to kind of make a “rock, paper, scissors shoot” type of game, the one armor ability that made matches have a snag in was Armor Lock.
This can also be resolved with a newly revised version of it can be brought back in Halo 4, this new armor ability would effectively be a hybrid between the original armor lock and the classic Bubble Shield. here are the specifics:
- Small shield, more personal
- Bubble takes damage
- Player cannot move
- No regen effect in bubble
In Halo 4, as far as I can tell, the armor abilities are more personal and not team oriented, Which is why the bubble will become more personal and will not be able to fit multiple players. Furthermore, the damage that the bubble will take are as follows as well:
- 2 grenades
- Sniper shot
- Shotgun shot
- Railgun blast
5) Rocket will destroy bubble and kill player
6) Sp. laser will destroy bubble and kill player
I really do want to see these two take effect, but if not, Halo 4 will still be beast
