Halo 4 BoxArt Discussion

So first, here’s a link to the image.
Halo 4 Boxart Fully Assembled Image

Ok, so let’s discuss this image.
At the high center, is the opening to tge shield planet, Requium I believe?
At the left is a UNSC frigate I believe.
And to the right is a Covenant Battle Cruiser.
And then Chief in the middle with his handy dandy Assault Rifle.
What does it mean? Discuss…

What I think the image symbolises several things.
On the left, you see the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn.
And on the right is a Covenant Battle Cruiser, probably of great importance.
Both craft are destoyed and falling apart.
What I think this symbolises is how the Covenant and UNSC have been completely destroyed by the Human-Covenant War.
And at the top of the image is the opening to the shield planet of Requium.
I’m not sure, but I think this symbolises that because both the Covenant and UNSC have been so weakened by the war, that the Forerunners are now the most powerful again.
And then there’s Chief at the center on the image.
I think this symbolises how throughout it all, the Chief has always been at the center of the action.
Now I’m not sure of any of this, this is all a guess.
UPDATE :: It appears that evrything is being pulled into Requium.
I believe what this symbolises is that both the UNSC and Covenant are gonna be “pulled” into Requium, whether they like it or not, they will be there.

maybe the UNSC ship is the Infinity?

Was this needed? There are multiple threads already.

Thats the real boxart? I think it looks cool. Judging by the ground that he’s standing on I suppose they crashed onto Requiem. Probably going to fight the covenant in the first levels then maybe more of the ancient enemy/forerunners/precursors later on. Thats what I think anyway.

> Was this needed? There are multiple threads already.

Yes.
But those threads are for putting the pieces together.
This one is to discuss it’s symbolism.

On the ship, you can see the words, “UNTO DAWN”. I think it’s safe to say that it’s the Forward Unto Dawn.

That’s just an excuse for you to have your own thread.

Why are the spacecraft destroyed?

aah yes sorry i didnt see that lol

There is a US version and Euro version, only difference being the advisory label at bottom left.

Why do you care?
Just stay on topic or please leave.

OT: I think I might know what it all means, but I wanna see what you guys think first…

Seems as if they are being sucked into the planet. Also there are two more Covenant ships to the left and right of Master Chief, maybe of fourth one just to the right of the Forward Unto Dawn.

Edit: Also on Chief’s right breast it seems that his armor has taken damage. Just a little detail, but sense it is new armor, maybe something hit him really hard to make that dent.

its the FUD and its not a corvette its a CCS battlecruiser lolololol

i don’t remember where i heard this from, but maybe someone else will know more about it, but aren’t the new enemies supposed to be collecting resources? In the pic, looks like everythings getting sucked up… just an idea.

> maybe the UNSC ship is the Infinity?

That’s what I first thought when I saw the picture. It doesn’t really look like the UNSC Frigate Forward Unto Dawn to me.

It’s a big -Yoinking!- paper shredder.

Master Chief’s armor has been drastically modified in this boxart image. Another thing to note is the message “Unto Dawn” on the left side of the image written on the spacecraft. In the center you can see the portal apparently it leads a Forerunner planet or world.

It’s interesting to see that the gravitational pull the portal seems to exert on the spacecraft is quite intense almost like a blackhole, it’s tearing the spacecraft apart and Master Chief is seen outside the space craft standing on a rocky surface. Not sure what to make up of all this, perhaps Master Chief was trying to escape?

Wow, I think this might be my favorite Halo box art ever…

One thing is clear and that is that some serious business is going down. We are going to be in for quite the opening to Halo 4 if this is any indication. Seems like everything is getting pulled into requiem rather than entering it by choice.

I don’t know if this is just the new design but cheif seems a little more robotic and stiff compared to the smoother armor from before

If you look near the bottom of the UNSC ship you will see “D UNTO DAWN” the “D” of course is the d in forward
