Recently, I have seen a lot of talk about the Halo 4 Official Box Art. Claiming that it will be this:

I have known about this picture for months but I don’t know if 343 industies has confirmed it as the official box art. Personally, I like it. I think it looks really cool but I can’t see it being the cover of Halo 4. I think it needs a different style of art to consider this the cover. 343 Industries should look more at the Halo 2 and Halo 3 covers as a starting point. These are my thoughts on the matter, What are yours?

I don’t think that’s the box art. For one thing, the armour is outdated from what we’ve seen since in the First Look vidoc. Also, it’s not a very moving image… He’s just standing there. I think 343 has something much better up their sleeves.
I highly doubt that’s it. Just a placeholder image from way too long ago.
I like it, but I do agree on changing the cover, like give him a weapon of some sort. Notice Halo CE, 2, 3, and as well as Halo CEA Master Chief is holding a signature weapon that impacts the gameplay (Halo 2 cover art with the dual-SMGs)or the return of an old weapon. (Halo 3 with MC holding the Assault Rifle or Halo CEA return of the pistol).

Yeah I could see that as being the cover.
They should use the final chief model and the newer metallic logo.
I like it, but I would like a more action filled cover.
It should be something that can show the mystery of the new world, and chief should hold the BR.
I don’t know, I’m confused as to why people think this is the official box art all of the sudden. This has been placeholder art for months…
i like it but this is probably a placeholder since they’ve had this image out ever since halo 4 was revealed

We are probably going to see the final cover art at E3 or gamescom.

Source? There is an xbox page that has that as the box art. I’m pretty sure that confirms that is.
