the game has been “modernized”
The only thing, I really don’t understand is the limitation of playlists. Hey, we are paying for Xbox Live, so we can expect, the multiplayer environment can handle a lot more playlists than available at the moment. Population is an invalid argument, because Crimson-DLC has a population never higher than 900 something and I get a game not slower than in other playlists. I didn’t understand the Reach playlist limitation without a DLC playlist last year, too.
Hopefully, the announcement in the last bulletin of changing playlist philosophies, means 343i gives us more permanent playlists.
do we really need another thread like this? couldn’t you just post in one of the hundreds already on the forums?

Campaign hasn’t been the selling point of Halo games since the first one. That’s almost like saying CoD and BF campaigns are more important than matchmaking.

lolwut? The campaign was, without a doubt, the worst in the series. Spartan Ops is rather forgettable also, it couldn’t even hold my interest into the 2nd week.

While many people only play MM, all of the other Halos I have played have had interesting Campaign and FF modes. Campaign in Halo 4 has pretty graphics, but little decision-making, and it gets tiresome to “go down hallway, kill what’s there, then repeat over and over.” Think of how ODST was - you could wander a whole city! No medals and no XP, so no replay value except to grind out achievements.
FF - Some Reach commendations were too hard to get,and there were way too many cheaters, but the game itself was fun, and there was the Challenge of going to zero deaths. We even have a group that gets together and does Halo 3 FF on a weekly basis. Spartan Ops is playing the same maps in opposite directions, but they are so repetitive in how you play them, I get confused as to which one I am doing. Maybe the new episodes will have more to them than Palmer/Miller/Roland screaming about egg/hinge-heads and Phantoms coming in. Right now - little replay value except for Commendations, since I reached 130 a long time ago.
So, while I might not have gone as far as this person, I do see value in the non-MM portions of the game, and dislike how they were handled.
oh btw - I agree with pretty much all of the other assessments in the thread, and expect I will be “done” with Halo 4 by Summer.
Flinch and no descope were terrible ideas. Most the maps are terrible because they are designed around alot of crap game mechanics. Why is sprint default? Instant spawns not being able to be altered?
I like campaign but mm is where all of the replayabiliy is for me.
the matchmaking is neck deep in dog -Yoink-
Bad part about this game?
Only thing I don’t like is that there’s no Forge World
-
Overpowered loadout options such as the DMR, Boltshot and Plasma Grenades
-
Weak, paper mache vehicles
-
Lack of overall developer support (Worst I’ve ever seen in any title or any developer)
-
Lack of gametypes and customisable options.
-
Forge has taken a step back from Reach’s glory. A BIG step back.
-
Most maps are just awful
-
Ragnarok
-
Campers being rewarded with power weapons
-
No incentive to move from a location thanks to DMR and ordnance drops
-
Instant respawn and the lack of an option to disable it
-
DLC fiascos
-
Awful handling of Specializations
-
Theater is full of bugs and is no longer a reliable way of seeing what happened during your multiplayer matches. Some Forge map lighting does not render.
-
Bullet magnetism overdose
-
No weapons on map. No extra ammo.
-
Competitive play is dead
I could go on and on and on.
Many things aside, forge is useless and not what it used to be
For me, it’s the Boltshot, DMR, and the ridiculously short weapon de-spawn times. Everything else I can deal with.

I like how this post has more thanks then any reply in this thread
But yeah…this
Why did you make a new thread when you could have posted in one of the other 5 complaining topics on the FIRST PAGE?

Halo 4 not having a ranking system isn’t an issue, it is more of a personal issue to who ever but having it will not make the game any better, or better than cod or even bring anyone back. Personally this community is not making this game any better most of the suggestions aren’t even realistic and a lot of people think their opinions are far more important than others. The Community needs to shape up a bit.
