I have gone through a number of test now to make sure that this is halo killing my xbox and it is. it started after the update on the 19th. I can play any game do anything on xbox for as long as I want, but anywhere from 1-20 minutes from when I launch halo 4 it kills my xbox live connection. I just got done playing 45 minutes of battlefield without a problem and 5 minutes after launching halo I got kicked from my game and my xbox live connection went down. i can’t reconnect unless I reset my xbox, then it connects instantly and then I can launch halo and play for 5 minutes before it does it again. had it happen 20 times since I updated on the 19th. I have reset my router a number of times and also disconnected all my internet devices in the house to make sure one of them wasn’t knocking something down. it is halo. please somebody help, or at least confirm my problem
my friend has had the same problem from launch of the game every other game works fine but halo

That does indeed sound like a severe problem.You might have already tried this but you could try deleting Halo 4 off your HDD including the updates.Just make sure you don’t delete your game save and profile data.This probably wont fix it but its worth a try.Sometimes data doesn’t get downloaded and installed correctly, which can cause some unwanted problems such as what your describing.You could always PM BS Angel or Rukizzel if the problem persists.I am sure that if this was a global problem the forums would be overloaded by now with complaints.
Like i said deleting and reinstalling may work but it might not be the problem, still its worth a try.
Edit:After looking around i found other threads describing the same or similar issue your having.So disregard what i put above, though you can still try it if you want.
Edit #2:BS Angel posted in another thread mentioning that Xbox Live is having problems, that is the probable cause of the disconnects.
Happened to me last night. Got booted and kicked out of Live. Just turned off XBOX and watched TV with my wife instead… It started with what looked like someone bailing from the game and we were sitting on the roster/black screen for a while first. I played for about an hour before it happened, just wasn’t interested in trying to get back on though.
Frank O’Connor got so hungry from working all day at the studio he went on a rampage and ripped out wires and circuit boards from the system and eat them and thats why xbox live is having problems.
so I forwarded all my ports again and made sure my xbox had a static IP and the world was saved and everyone went home happy. so apparently that is how you fix this problem.

I have the same issue. It usually always freezes after the game, during a black screen and it says saving. Had it happen since launch, but it got really bad after the TU. It did it mid-game today during a snipers match on Exile.
