Why do you do this to me 343? You show me a Battle rifle, Hit scan no bloom. You tease me with Bleed through. New Multiplayer maps built from scratch. Health system like H2 and 3.
I finally see a new Halo game. Fast paced competitive. I even accepted sprint.
Then you do this to me by reinventing AA’s and Custom unlocks. This isn’t call of duty and the only reason it works there is because every gun does the same thing. A one hit kill.
Halo 4 is like the March Update.
You make all these awesome fixes and changes. Then you have to ruin it with stupid systems no true halo player wants.
Plus the helmets for Spartan IV’s look really ugly.
This isn’t call of duty holy crap… Just because they used the word perks does not mean its the exact same as call of dutys… Cod did not invent that word you know.
It’s less about it being call of duty, and more about the fact that Halo has a progression system at all. It’s always been that everyone has the same options and no one has an advantage when the game starts. This dare I say, “perk” progression system takes that whole idea of equal footing and throws it out the window.
But how can any progression system be balanced with New and Old players mixing? It’s obvious they would put the better unlocks at the end of the progression for incentive. And that then gives experienced players a gameplay advantage over new players. That’s my beef, skill should decide who wins matches, not unlocks.

This. Halo is about everyone starting on a level playing field the only thing that differs is player skill. Not just because someone farmed a better crutch.
I think 343 might be thinking of doing something to balance the “perks” (btw you have the ability to use all of em so dont complain about how overpowered they are) and the helmets imo are new and pretty cool… does no one remeber gungnir or whatever from Reach? now that was uuuggly lol
I’m sick to death of RPG systems in FPS’s. I can complain about over powerfulness of AA’s. I have to ability to use them all. When i reach that rank. That’s just plain stupid.
Two people enter, the person who has farmed the most credits and unlocked the most crutches leaves. The lesser man is re spawning. That is Halo 4.
Oh, everyone could use Armour Lock. That didn’t stop it being over powered.

IMO Halo 3 had the most balanced sandbox. Was it perfect? No, but it was very close.
