I’m not here to complain that halo 4 is like cod, so just here me out first.
People are complaining that halo is becoming cod. The simple answer is NO!
When you think about it, cod is the same thing over and over and over again. Just every new game is the same as the last, just with a new title and a few new weapons and graphics. 343 is changing halo 4 a little bit so its not the same cr4p all over again.
So this is what im saying… Halo 4 is not like cod because the game itself changes in many ways to make it totally individual, unique, and different to all the previous makes. Cod is the exact same cr4p over and over again.
So please, halo 4 is not like cod, because the gameplay is changing, and its not the same thing over and over again.
Kill streaks (you can deny it all you want, we both know they’re kill streaks), perks, custom loadouts, instant respawn, yearly releases… sounds like CoD to me.

Then i suppose Max Payne 3 is COD too…

Thanks for giving him permission to have his own opinion.

Not this again… It plays and feels nothing like kill streaks…

Plus there aren’t going to be yearly releases. I don’t see why people think their will be.

Yearly releases? The only reason we’ve been getting a Halo every year for a while is:
ODST was an expansion to Halo 3.
Reach was being developed at the same time ODST was, and was Bungies last Halo project. They had deadlines to make and obligations to fulfill to Microsoft in order to go off on their own.
Halo 4 has been in development since Halo 3 came out pretty much. It’s gone through the same cycle Halo 2 and Halo 3 went through. The transition in companies made it so we got more Halo games within a small timespan. Once Halo 4 comes out we’ll be right back on the track of a Halo game every 3 to 4 years. And let’s not ignore the fact that 343i has already said we won’t be getting yearly releases.
As for your other arguments, I’m not going into that yet again. We’ve been told not only by the developers but by people who were able to play the demo that the systems don’t work like Call of Duties. As well as, instant respawn is only available on one playlist.
Thanks for your input, but let’s give the big kids a chance to talk.
Halo is completely different to CoD, and always will be - that’s what separates the two genres apart. For instance; Halo has always stayed true to its Fan base and is to be considered more honorable than Infinity Ward, whom make it very apparent that making money is their primary goal. This can be seen through the poor DLC releases by Infinity Ward and the countless complaints that they shrug off - where Infinity Ward fail to implement CHANGE, Halo puts the effort in to ensure everyone is happy.
I dont think that halo has stuck with its original fanbase and i do think they are making it to much like call of duty. The only thing that seperates halo from cod now is the energy shield which is why more people like cod because its easier to kill someone. They are trying to own the market again but I think they’ll lose the competitive halo players because of these new features.
Call of Duty keeps its core gameplay elements, which are beloved by the millions of fans who buy CoD games, intact.
Halo, on the other hand, seems to be taking all those beloved Halo elements and throwing them out the window both with Halo Reach and Halo 4.
Halo is no longer about who has more skill, but about who picks which loadout before the game begins. Call of Duty has remained fairly consistent since CoD4.
The entire gameplay is different, even if a few features are the same.

these new features change the gameplay entirely. You cant say reach was the same gameplay as halo 3 or 2

Kill Streaks: Star Wars Battlefront
Perks: Star Wars Battlefront
Custom Loadouts: Rainbow Six
Instant Respawn: Unreal Tournament
Yearly Release: 2011 would like to have a word with you.
Im not a fan of the sprint or that thermo vision I think it brings down amount of skill needed to get to cover when low on shield and the vision restricts the amount of communication needed. The map doesnt look good for team callouts either. Neighbor looks a little off on the headshots too

Sprint is a standard feature in just about every game these days. A large population preferred to use it in Reach, so it makes sense to have it as a standard feature.
When you activate Promethean Vision (thermo), you’re pretty much shouting to everyone on the map where you’re located. It shows up on your radar whenever someone activates it.
It’s extremely rare when I hear team mates communicate with each other in a game. I’ve only played a few games that had some team organization unless it’s a team objective game. In which case, hoarding kills is exactly what you’re not supposed to be doing. If you stick with your team you just watch out for each other.
As for your other points, I really don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m not a huge fan of Promethean Vision, but it has a very large downside to it, so you’re replacing a bad situation for a few moments of a good situation, to revert back to everyone shooting at you. Sprint isn’t a huge problem if everyone has sprint. Not only that, but you slow down if someone shoots at you.
