This 70 XP cap is really not good. It is inconsistent. Why are there even daily and weekly challenges (showing XP rewards) if I don’t receive them? Why, in the middle of my last game, did a notification pop up to tell me I had just received 10,000 XP for completing DMR Mastery, when in fact I haven’t? How is this not shabby?
It is not even well thought out: It would seem that a player who stops playing Halo 4 until you lift the cap will then progress quicker than someone who continues playing, because the persistent player will have fruitlessly completed more commendations. It really does give the impression you haven’t thought this through.
Bungie wouldn’t treat us like this.
Oh well, my trust has been betrayed, so I’ll just wait for Bungie’s next game Destiny (or, til then, maybe Aliens: Colonial Marines)
