Not really a big deal I guess, but I just thought that the model should be changed, what do you think community? Also, should there be three types of of vehicles for every unit, apart from heavy in which there would only be two types, or maybe 3 now there are Prometheans and forerunners running around. Thoughts?
Promethean vehicles? Its a possibility… A.Is wouldn’t really use vehicles, would they? Maybe there could be ancient forerunner vehicles.
As for the design of the banshees, using Reach’s design doesn’t technically make sense - But I guess its all to do with artistic liberties taken up by the blah blah blah
I’m not bothered by the design of the Banshee in Halo 4.
why exactly would you want the model changed?
Because not only does it not fit cannon, I don’t particularly like it. I think they should go with an entirely new model.

how exactly does it not fit canon?

I was thinking the same question.

some people have very odd ideas on what canon actually is

It’s most likely due to the time frames, considering Reach was before Halo 1-3 and Halo 4 is 5 years after Halo 3, meaning it’d make sense if it was to look different.
I hope it’s an entirely new design or the Reach design. I thought the Halo 1-3 banshees looked disgusting after seeing the redesigned Reach banshee.

it is merely an aesthetic difference, nor a functional one. Has 343/bungie ever said Banshees are produced as exactly identical vehicles from every faction in every facility? I do not remember that…so far I do not see canon being broken
The Banshee model appears to be exactly the same as Reach’s, although in all the concept art we have seen it looks more Halo 3 like, leading me to think it is POSSIBLY a place holder, while the final model is finished.
Either way I don’t mind, as long as it’s not as overpowered in Multiplayer. Fuel rod cannon anyone? -____-
the banshee in reach was without a doubt, the most powerful one of all the banshees in the games. So it would make sense for the covies to base their new designs of the reach banshee. there you go cannon restored.
Agreed, I really hate the Halo Reach banshee model. It does not have the typical wings and stuff… I have been disapointed when I saw it in the gameplay at E3.
NO OVERPOWERED BANSHEE BOMBS.
NO ENDLESS BANSHEE EVADE.
NO TIN-FOIL BANSHEE ARMOR.
NO mangled flying banshee …if the thing is so tore up it looks like a cat got a hold of a moth, then by god let the thing explode.

canon was never broken
I hope the banshee stays just as strong
They are ment to be ground support after all and what better way to support the ground then to blow the -Yoink!- out of everything

The Prometheans don’t looks like they would use vehicles, they seem more brutish, more animal like than the Covenant.
There may be Prometheans that act like vehicles, which you could hijack and use as a vehicle yourself, though.
I feel that the Banshee should be streamlined like the Reach Banshee. But reusing an asset that we’ve seen more than twice already is absurd.
When ODST came out, I was expecting a different Banshee. Instead, I got the classic Banshee. Nonetheless, I liked it.
When Reach came out, it must have felt refreshing. But then it got reused in Anniversary (except that it had better effects, like the smoke, contrail, and wing lights). I got pretty tired of it.
I hope 343 aren’t trying to stick to some sort of tradition (reuse an asset in at least 3 games before replacing it). I want a new Banshee!
I remember David Ellis sying on NeoGAF that the Banshee is not final.
