Im curious to know if there will be a banning system will be put in place for those people who manipulate their connection. With the way technology is now, anyone can easily get host booters and all that other stuff people use today. In higher onyx play(25% and up) when you play against teams, it can be a regular occurance. In H3, bungie had a banning system, but I never here of anyone getting banned anymore.
So will there be one?
Will it actually work?
Cause I saw something somewhere where Frankie stated a pretty strong dislike on all the iron boosters and cheaters out there and how yall were working on a ranking system that would try and eliminate that. So this should go hand in hand with that.
I really hope they don’t have a computer sorting all that out like in reach. Specially with quitting, not my fault my connection gets -Yoinked!- up.
What’s funny is that host booters only work in games that have peer-to-peer connections. If they actually sprung for dedicated servers then host booting would even be possible. Oh god, imagine all of the god complex -Yoink- boys with host booters and how -Yoinking!- helpless they would feel.
Anyway, if there is any kind of quitting ban I won’t be buying this game. Why I quit and how often is completely irrelevant to anything. I’m not forking over $60 to be told I can’t play the game. The new drop-in system where you can join games in progress should really be reason enough to get rid of the quit ban system.

I dont mind the 15 min, and 30 min quit bans. Your ruining other players gaming experience when you quit out. And keep in mind that they paid $60 for the game to so you should be punished for quitting out. Just like cheaters should be punished for manipulating the system
And the join in progress wont be in every playlist so dont get too happy.

It is, however, your fault for not doing something about your connection if it happens frequently enough that you get banned for it. Even if it’s not your fault and it cannot be fixed, why should other people be punished by playing with you and your bad connection, and then ending up shorthanded through no fault of their own?
And, are you serious? You want them to do it manually?
That’s like when Viacom was suggesting YouTube go through all their uploaded videos manually and find the ones that had copyrighted material; ridiculous.

I never said anything about a manual banning. If you were talking to me about that. I know in H3 they had something that looked for games against people where the other team “quit out” quickly at the beginning of games. And then connected 2 dots together and dealt with the accounts appropriately.

You deserve the ban. Your failure of a connection is your fault. You having to go “eat” or “do the groceries” is your lack of finding good time to play the game. There is absolutely no excuse for you to quit out of a game unless it’s extremely serious. You quitting not only deters the amount of fun I have playing the game, but also the amount of fun the players on your team have playing the game.
