so today my account got banned from earning XP. there was no warning, and there is no appeal process.
the equivalent to execution without trial, a lawyer, or even a heads up.
me and my friends were attempting to unlock the Venonator armour by making a regicide game with only us, and assassinating each other.
-we didn’t hack anything
-it didn’t affect anyone else’s gameplay
-it wasn’t made clear at all that this was against the rules
If they had only let us know, “hey, guys, stop it”, we would have, but instead they jumped straight to bans.
There is no information on how long the ban will last, and 343 are being so petty there not even giving me a person to contact to ask
imo the ban process for 343 is terrible and is handled with no care towards their customers
(by comparison COD bans can be appealed and there is a 12/7 number to call)
tl;dr
-no clear lists of rules
-no warnings
-no information on how long the ban will last
-no-one to contact
-no appeal process
I also think there’s a segment in the ToS or whatever it’s called when you create your XBL account that say that Microsoft can ban you for any reason they see fit, even if there’s no reason.

Are you complaining that you weren’t given the right to have a lawyer present at your banning?
When you play any online game you agree to the terms of service layed out by whos runs the online service. Breaking them means you have no rights and can be banned.

It all depends on what sort of Boosting is being done. Going into a game with a full group, and saying “Hey, lets only use Pulse Grenades and Plasma Pistols!” and everyone playing and getting kills it perfectly fine.
OP you maybe think since Xbox don´t really stop boosting, the game developer CAN, when they want.
In Call of Duty they maybe won´t stop you, that´s why the game is so bad. In Halo they don´t let you do those things.
Boost in a other game and hope the developers don´t give a ***
ok, i understand your points;
-boosting is against the rules
-they can ban you if they want for whatever they want
but surely that state of affairs is questionable?
in my case, admittedly boosting is a more obvious violation, but as i stated earlier I didn’t know it was, or even what it was.
which begs the question, how many more bans are past out to people wrongly or who didn’t realise they were breaking rules?
today it was me, but potentially it could be any one of us, unintentionally breaking a rule or getting falsely picked up by the cheater algorithm, and landed with unjust bans that cant be repealed
----even if you think i deserve my ban, we need an appeal system

> no when it comes to boosting you don’t deserve a appeal plain and simple you cheated and you got banned the system did its job
ok i see your point and the same thing happened to me and my friend were playing and all of a sudden i was banned and she was just on my guest account and for no reason i cant earn XP

I call bull -Yoink-. Give us a break, boosting has been around a lot. Say you were sent to court on the counts of texting and driving (it is an example, keep reading). You plead not guilty because “I didn’t know it was a law your honor”. You will still be fined or punished in whatever way. Yes 343 is using a automated ban system but don’t do that bull -Yoink- above.

no need for more info, you cheated and you got banned
