Dear Authority that “regulates” the matchmaking in Halo 4,
You probably might have seen that there are less then 300 people on team doubles matchmaking at any given time. Of those 300 people about 35% of them quit either before or during the game. I play mainly doubles so yes, this aggrivates the crap out of me. But who’s bright solution was it to ban players for leaving? Do you even play the game? It takes about 3 minutes to find a game and when your finnaly in one you can tell within the first 30 seconds if your random partner (you know, the guys running in a straight line with an AR at their opponent) has the skill to keep up with two enemies that have better KD’s then you and him put together.
Point is, this method of regulations is outdated and might help 2% of the remaining Halo player population so please reavalute your customer needs!
Sincerely, What are you thinking…
Well, what would you suggest?
Nobody “regulates” bans in Halo. Any and all bans are automated by the matchmaking server. They always have been. If you were banned, you did something against the rules (habitual quitting is one of them). With quit bans, the system looks for patterns or irregularities in how many times you quit compared to staying in the game. If you quit out, then you have no one to blame but yourself for being banned.
Yeah and I play Proving Ground mostly an even more dismal population number. I believe it is the least populated of all the playlists all the time. I also have to wait a long time for a match. Know what I do? Post on here, or watch streams in between games.
I also get matched up with bad players. I believe this happens to us all. I have had some that get absolutely no kills the entire game. Know what I do? I don’t quit I play to the best of my ability, and even try and help the player out if I can. I also have sent messages of encouragement with ideas on how to get better. Don’t get me wrong it is extremely frustrating, because there are quite a few low skilled players in this playlist, not to mention I am NOT one to carry a team. My highest medal is assists.
I’m definitely not gonna quit over and over when things turn bad for me and blame the developer. I don’t think the regulations are outdated. In fact I think they need to be more stringent.
