After doing some nostolgia runs of the Halo 3 campaign I re discovered what i believe might be a very close representation of the auto sentry armor ability in Halo 4.

The Halo 4 Auto Sentry AA is described as a static turret that provides fire from a set location sounds a little like the Halo3 Campaign exclusive Auto turret equipmet, does’nt it ?

This would probably be how it will work and look(though not like the god-turret in the vid). in fact i would prefer it to be hard to get a kill with; viable only to drop shields. along with very low health and long recharge time(20-30 seconds) other than that, The auto turret from halo 3 would fit it quite nicely.

yea this was a monster in Halo 3. I’m just surprised I forgot about it until now.
Wait, what? There’s an Auto Sentry AA in Halo 4?
It sure would be fun, but one could complain that it would be the ultimate “camper AA” (as if wallhack and invis wasn’t enough). Having it drop only the shield and only deal moderate damage so it takes a few seconds would be a good balance imo.
It would be fun to see, I loved the Auto turret, to bad they were so rare in Halo 3

Wow, I had no idea. Here I was thinking I knew everything there is to know about Halo 4 so far haha. Well, more variety is always welcome as long as its balanced well.

yeah all we know is that there was i “leaked” pic or vid, where at one point you got to see all of the AAs. one of the was called auto sentry, yet we have not been given any gameplay or details of it since. Perhaps somebody could find the source that we learned it from.
Never knew there was any type of sentry armour ability.
If it works like it did in Halo 3 I can imagine objective game modes being hectic! I love it! Or alternatively, laying it down slightly hidden near an objective, then when an enemy goes for it, the sentry shoots at the enemy, doing barely any damage, the enemy tries to look for it and you can go behind said enemy for a surprise kill!
