I was watching the trailer from e3 and thought to myself that in each halo game there is a main weapon combo. Halo ce assult rifle and pistol. Halo 2 br and smg. Halo 3 assult rifle and br. What im hoping for is the rocket launcher pistol and full auto battle rifle.

I wish the H3 BR would come back. 
Rather have a new weapon all together. I hope they bring back the normal BR and some of the other Halo3 weapons to, more then just the UNSC ones, like maybe some covenant ones like the carbine, and the brute shot. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEAS BRING BACK DUEL WIELD!!!
lol an auto BR sounds like something out of COD. The kill times would be insanely short if each bullet does the same damage as Halo 2/3.
They should bring back halo 3 br, scrap the dmr, keep the needle rifle but make it so its not auto/ semi auto or whatever, bring back the Beam rifle the focus rifle sucks!

I prefer the carbine over needle rifle. Especially if they make the carbine more advanced and new then carbine all the way.

what about a switch in campiagn only that allows the br single shot, three brust, and full auto.

For people who dont like the idea i didnt mean it as in it should be in multiplayer. But more as in campaign and custom games. Just remember in ce how much fun it was to shoot the assult rifle with that crazy fire rate. So just imagine a auto br with a 60 bullet clip scopless clearing the clip with in seconds. It would be hard to use because the accuracy, it would be hard to shoot far away.

Halo 3 BR is more broke than the DMR is random.

Using modern-day examples, battle rifles (such as the FAL, G3, M14, and Mk.17) are used as high powered weapons to engage targets at medium to long range. Due to the power of the rounds (the 9.5mm Kurz in the case of the 55’s), firing these weapons on fully automatic, or even in a three-round burst isn’t an ideal situation due to the amount of recoil and force brought back to the user.
While a high-powered BR55 sounds nice, you have to know that these things will be as inaccurate as an M90 at even medium ranges. For close quarters roles desiring the need for prolonged suppression, the MA5 series and the M247 GPMG is your best option.
