So I just tried to change my Xbox language to Japanese to see if the dialogue changed in campaign like it did in Anniversary etc.
It didn’t, so my question is does anyone know if I can make this happen in Halo 4 or would I have to buy the Japanese version online? (I believe Australian appliances are the same setting as the Japanese)

Most games are region locked, meaning that they only come with languages for that region. So for example, the language of a game bought in an English speaking country will on speak in English. Although this isn’t the case for some games.

Yeah I realise that. However previous Halo games have displayed that you can at least change a small fraction of the audio when you change your locale. Reach had it only with Multiplayer, Anniversary you could go the entire campaign in a different language.
My point is I’m curious as to why it only changes text in Halo 4. It’s kind of lame. (This is the case with every game I’m sure. I don’t see why we can’t have every language sound file on disc and can choose what we want)
